ENERGY MANAGEMENT AND GHG EMISSIONS

A Message From Our Ceo

After publishing Redpath’s ESG statement in 2021, we engaged PwC to help us determine the most important ESG areas for our company and our clients. In doing so, we once again learned how our decades-old Philosophy and Guidelines for Success were so ahead of their time in providing guidance. But we cannot rest on the past; our ESG journey continues and we have much work to do! Eight priority areas will be our focus going forward. We hope you will enjoy this overview of some of the ESG stories from 2022.

By early 2023, we expect to have the means to track GHG emissions of our Redpathowned fleet. This will enable us to explore opportunities to reduce our carbon footprint through different engine types, better maintenance practices and/or electrification.

In addition to replacing the coal-heating unit with a gas-condensing boiler in Redpath Deilmann's Dortmund office, our German business unit is using smart thermostats to control heating and cooling. Other Redpath offices, such as those in South Africa and Australia, are in the process of supplementing their electrical energy needs with solar installations.
