A group of students from Community Christian School volunteered their early Saturday morning hours to pick up trash for the Annual Community Trash-Off sponsored by Shangri La on Feb. 9. While cleaning the entire length of 37th Street, the group found

unusual items in the ditches such as clothing, rugs, and a stop sign. Mostly though, they picked up lots of glass bottles. After their hard work, they enjoyed pizza and door prizes donated by various sponsors. The students were very impressed to see how many

volunteers and sponsors were involved in the event. Pictured from left to right are: Nathan Rose, Josh Howard, Patrick Riley, Marcus Delarosa, Tyler Bevlaqua, Austin Manucy, and Hannah Girndt.
