This imposing and spacious Georgian house, built in 1771, spans approx 3,300 sq ft over five wonderful floors. A sympathetic restoration has been carried out with extraordinary attention and respect to the original Georgian aesthetic. The result marries perfectly traditional splendour with top quality contemporary infrastructure. All fixtures and fittings have been produced by master craftspeople at the apex of their professions. A state-of-the-art kitchen by Bulthaup and Gaggenau creates a most elegant cooking environment. The bathrooms and sanitary ware throughout are by Boffi, Agape and Vola and the ERCO and FLoS architectural lighting presents artwork at its very best. An array of sublime original features will impress endlessly, including floor-to-ceiling sash windows with painstakingly restored shutters. The hinges have been relieved of 300 years of paint and restored individually by hand. Hand-blown lead glass, produced by a specialist in Paris, has the same wonderful reflective texture as the original. Exquisite original and reclaimed fireplaces run throughout as does expertly restored cornice work. With a ceiling height of almost four metres in the magnificent first floor drawing room, the sense of space is incredible. The entire house has also been re-wired to the highest spec and heating, plumbing and CAT6 cabling are up to 21st century standard.
