MY STORY

IT ALL BEGAN IN EARLY-1900S GENOA

In the late 19th century, the riviera between Portofino and Marseille was regarded as the world’s best soap-making region. Enticed by the excellent quality raw materials, master soap-makers settled in the area.

This is also how Virgilio Valobra came to open his factory in Genoa, keen to preserve the heritage of master soap-makers’ technical skills and continue the tradition of fine artisan toilet soaps made with exceptionally pure ingredients. .

AN OBSESSION WHEN IT COMES TO CARE AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL .

Valobra’s manufacturing process requires human control throughout the entire soap manufacturing cycle. Each stage is monitored with extreme care and attention to detail by the master soapmaker. From the exact dosage of ingredients to the hand wrapping of each bar of soap, Valobra is a masterpiece of craftsmanship.

OVER 100 YEARS IN THE ART OF SOAP-MAKING

Each Valobra soap requires crafting for over 2 months before it reaches your hands. Why? Because there is no other way to make quality soap.

TRADITION

Unlike industrial soaps, all Valobra soaps are made using the traditional ‘full-boiled’ or ‘Marseille’ manufacturing process, a time-consuming procedure that is as old as it is romantic. Each stage is essential in contributing to the quality of the soap.

PERFECTION

A very pure soap whose lather is made richer and more enveloping by the addition of a drop of cream that provides softness to the skin. We use only high-quality raw materials and ingredients.

Each Valobra soap matures for at least 2 months to achieve optimum consistency and is rolled 4 times to achieve optimum homogeneity. We have also designed the most ergonomic shape for the perfect grip and even distribution of the product on the hands.

QUALITY

PRODUCT

Lattuga soap, with its corn oil cream and lettuce extract, provides complete ‘demaquillage’ without irritating the skin. Particularly suitable for delicate skin.

Its fragrance is fresh and delicate, with the soft touch of lavender encountering notes of white musk and talcum powder to create a fresh, aromatic atmosphere.

Soap with wheat germ oil cream. Suitable for all skin types, it is best in the cold, winter months. A scent that is redolent of caresses and affection, a sweetness that is expressed in all its aspects which, when combined with a light lavender freshness, recreates an enchanting, retro idyll.

Super-fatted, extremely gentle soap. Its rice oil cream and blend of vitamins gently cleanse and soften the skin. Particularly suitable for infants. Its delicate contains primrose petals lavender and geranium to recreate olfactory harmony, depicts a nature that is pure.

Lecithin-vitaminised soap with almond oil cream, suitable for all skin types.

You are immersed in the pleasant scent of wild flowers in an alpine dreamscape that is enhanced by the floral hints of rose and powdery iris, which then fade into woods and resins.

Soap with shea butter cream, ideal for a soft, velvety skin, the test lies in the touch. A feminine, powdery fragrance with aromatic notes of geranium and rose on a foundation of patchouli. An experience that involves all the senses.
