GET YOUR SKIN TO GLOW FOR YOUR BIG DAY We all know that stress can wreak havoc on our beautiful skin. Here are some ways to care for your skin as you prepare for your big day! First, as simple as it may sound; be sure to wash your face morning and night. Next, exfoliate with a product of your choice and try to get a dermaplaning every month for 3-4 months leading up to your big day. What is dermaplaning you ask? Dermaplaning is a delicate skin resurfacing procedure customized to fit your skin concerns. During this in-office procedure, a specialized instrument is utilized to gently and effectively remove the superficial epidermal layer of dead skin cells. Additionally villous hair (“peachfuzz”) and surface impurities are gently removed, giving your skin a beautiful glow. Using medical grade products is the best way to achieve the glow you desire for your big day. Medical grade products can be found in plastic surgery or dermatology offices. These products have been thoroughly tested and are proven to work. Most products that you buy at the drugstore or the big box retailers haven’t been tested and don’t have a high enough percentage of any one ingredient to be super effective. The three products we recommend investing in are a sunscreen that has Zinc Oxide or Titanium Dioxide as one of the active Ingredients, an antioxidant that contains Vitamin C and E as two of the main ingredients, and finally a retinoid. Lastly, one of the best investments you can make for your big day to give you a glow and smooth out any wrinkles is Botox and or filler. Botox ranges in costs depending on your goals. Botox treatments typically cost between $250 - $600 per treatment and last 3-4 months. Filler is a great way to enhance your lips, treat dark under eye circles, give more volume to the cheeks, and reduce the appearance of laugh lines.
