Mark Duplass Actor, Filmmaker, Producer Mark Duplass is an award-winning actor, filmmaker, and producer. As an actor, Mark has appeared in a wide range of film and television projects including the 2019 Apple+ series The Morning Show for which he received a 2020 Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He has also had recurring roles in Hulu's The Mindy Project, National Geographic's Manhunt: Unabomber, and the most recent season of Amazon Studio’s Goliath. Notable on-screen feature film credits include Paddleton, Blue Jay, The One I Love, Your Sister's Sister, Humpday, Tully, Bombshell, and the Creep franchise. From 2009 to 2015, Mark starred on the hit FX comedy series The League. Mark and his brother Jay first gained recognition in the early 2000s for writing, directing, and producing several acclaimed independent and studio films, including The Puffy Chair, Baghead, Cyrus, and Jeff, Who Lives at Home. On the television side, Mark and Jay have created three critically acclaimed television series for HBO: Togetherness (in which Mark also starred), the anthology show Room 104, and the animated series Animals. Notable producer credits include the Emmy-winning Netflix documentary series Wild Wild Country, as well as many feature films including Safety Not Guaranteed (co-starring Mark), The Skeleton Twins, and Tangerine. Duplass starred in and co-wrote this week’s Spring Film Club selection, Language Lessons, directed by Natalie Morales.
