Coronavirus Notice

All activities organised by the Outdoor Pursuits Department will be run in accordance with government and national governing body guidance.

Each trip and activity will be individually risk assessed and appropriate covid-secure arrangements will be implemented for personal hygiene, transport and equipment cleaning. Venues will be carefully vetted to ensure that infection control measures are in place.

• Where possible training sessions will run at their usual times, some venues and timings may change due to government guidelines and risk management needs.

Trips and Refunds

We are planning for the resumption of all trips. Provisional dates are stated within the annual planner.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain insurance cover for the cost of school trips. On transferring funds for a trip parents/guardians are therefore agreeing to the following terms:

• Should a trip be cancelled due to government guidance in relation to COVID-19 the school will refund any excess of the amount paid for the trip over costs committed on that trip. • Should a pupil not attend the trip due to government guidance specific to their own personal circumstances, or self-isolation in relation to COVID-19 the school will refund any excess of the amount paid for the trip over costs committed on that trip. • Should a pupil not attend a trip for any other reason, including non COVID-19 related illness, a refund will not be offered.
