Patricia Jean Hollister

Patricia “Pattie” Jean (Shepherd) Hollister, 59, died May 13, 2023. She was born on Aug. 26, 1963.

She is survived by her husband, Alan Earl Hollister; daughters, Sarah Whetstone, Stacy Meppen (Jesse), Hannah Hale (Jordan), Abbey Melander (Tyler); 10 grandchildren; sisters, Cheryl Shepherd Blair, Kathy (Shepherd) Cox; brothers, Bobby Dawson, Mike Shepherd; 10 nephews; and six nieces.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlene (Junkin) Hoffman; stepfather, Paul Hoffman; brother, Rick Shepherd; and father, Albert Dawson.

Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, May 19, in Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 West Rochester St., Akron, with Bishop Heywood officiating. The interment will take place in the Akron Cemetery, Akron, following the service. Visitation will be held from 10 am to the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.

Geraldine Ruth Hoffer

Geraldine

Ruth Hoffer, 74, Knox, died May 13, 2023 in LaPorte. She was born Feb. 10, 1949. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Hoffer, Knox; sons, Richard (Julie) Hamby, Hamlet, David (Melissa) Hamby, Knox; daughter, Jenifer (Michael) Tibbs, Knox; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond Myers, Monterey. She was preceded in death by parents, Raymond Myers and Flora Novak; brother, James Myers; sisters, Carol Brewer and Arlene Franko; and grandson, Anthony Cameno.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. May 17, in Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox, with Pastor Albert Tolson officiating. Memorials may be made to the family.
