The near perfect weather continued Sunday, June 19 as the Wabash Cannonball Motorcycle Club hosted the annual Umbarger Classic, a motocross event sanctioned by the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association. The annual event is named for former motorcycle racer Danny Umbarger of Kokomo, who was severely injured on Sept. 23, 1989. “He was left paralyzed,” said McCray. “We pretty much named our event after him.
