Eunice Eileen “Euny” Butterbaugh, 92, of North Manchester, passed away at 6:25 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017 at Timbercrest Healthcare Center in North Manchester. She was born Dec. 19, 1924, in Wabash County, to Virgil and Hattie C. (Rickert) Hanley. She married Bob Butterbaugh in North Manchester on Sept. 19, 1971; he died Oct. 23, 2001. She is survived by her stepdaughter, stepson, John a nephew and three nieces. Visitation and services were Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017 at Timbercrest Chapel, North Manchester, with Pastor Kurt Stout officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, North Manchester. Betty Treska, 93 Cancer Society member Nov. 6, 1923 – Jan. 30, 2017 Betty LaVaughn Treska, 93, of rural Lagro, died at 3:07 a.m., Monday, Jan. 30, 2017, at Parkview Wabash Hospital. She was born Nov. 6, 1923, in Bippus, to Henry and Lena (Copeland) Gressley. She married George Delbert Treska in Plymouth, on Oct. 27, 1949; he died Dec. 9,
1998. She is survived by a daughter, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a sister, and a brother. Visitation and funeral services were Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11am, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash with David Phillips officiating. Burial was in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.

Elbert E. Fingerle, 91, formerly of Wabash, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, at Aperion Care in Kokomo. He was born to the late Henry and Ethel Mable (Patrick) Fingerle on Dec. 9, 1925, in North Manchester. Elbert is survived by a sister, four grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Visitation and funeral service were 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, 2017 at McDonald Funeral Home, Wabash, with Father Richard Lightsey officiating. Entombment was in Memorial Lawns Cemetery in Wabash.

Kathryn L. Forney, 91, of Warren, passed away at 8:33 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. She was born on Jan. 28, 1926, in Huntington County. She married Donald Forney. Surviving are a daughter, a son, and four grandchildren. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, at Glancy - H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, Warren. Services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Lancaster Cemetery in Lancaster.

She was born in North Manchester on Dec. 4, 1928, to Harley A. & Ethel F. (Cover) Sincroft She first married Earl R. Flohr on April 23, 1947. He died April 15, 1974. She then married Daniel “DeWayne” Monce on Nov. 29, 1997. He died Feb. 12, 2015 Survivors include two sons, two daughters, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation is from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at McKee Mortuary, Norh Manchester. Services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.

Eva E. Wilson, 87, formerly of Wabash, died at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, at Peabody Healthcare Center in North Manchester. She was born Jan. 4, 1930, in Paintsville, Ky., to Charles Brickley and Mary Mae (Boucher) Brickley Phelps. Eva first married Hobert Young and he preceded her in death. She then married Wendell J. Wilson in Wabash on Jan. 19, 1973; he died Feb. 5, 1990. She retired from General Tire in Wabash in 1973 after 11 years. Eva was a member of the Wabash Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed playing cards, dominos, fishing, checkers, and
watching sports. She is survived by three children, Charles (Stella) Young of Paintsville, Ky., Linda Neal of Wabash, and Vickie Sanders of North Manchester; stepdaughter Joyce (Benjamin) DelVecchio of Avon; 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Paul Young; one sister, Betty Ward; and two brothers, Paul and Jerry Brickley. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2017, at GrandstaffHentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash, with Pastor Kirk Johnson officiating. Janavee Prater 76 of Roann, passed away Sunday Jan. 29, 2017, at 7:51 p.m. at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne. She was born on Nov. 16, 1940, to Creed and Barbara (Bradley) Flannery in Floyd County, Ky. She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church, Claypool, where she was very active serving her Lord, in the children’s church and the Ladies Circle along with many more. Jan owned and operated her own ceramics shop, she was a cook at the Warsaw Holiday Inn and she enjoyed gardening. She is survived by her husband, Mander Prater of Roann; her children, Mander Lee (Luan) Prater of Roann, Jeff (Chris) Prater and Vanessa (J.C.) Sparks both of Warsaw, and Jill Anne (Paul) Parker of Akron; two brothers, Marvin (Sandy) Flannery and Curt (Janet) Flannery both of Claypool, and a sister, Cassie (Dan) Bradley of California. She is preceded in death by her parents a great-grandchild, nine brothers and sisters and a son-in-law. A funeral service was Thursday Feb. 2, 2017 at the First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, Claypool, with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating. Samuel E. Rohr, 71 U.S. Navy veteran Jan. 16, 1946 – Feb. 5, 2017
Samuel Edward Rohr, 71, of rural Roann, died at 2:10 pm, Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017 at his home. He was born Jan. 16, 1946, in Washington, Pennsylvania to Charles Stephen and Edna (Scovert) Rohr. Sam was a US Navy veteran, serving from 196468. He married Susie Ford in Wabash on March 20, 1982. He was a contractor 50 years, and owned and operated Rohr and Son construction. He was President of the Wabash Babe Ruth five years, was instrumental in reorganizing the Wabash Quarterback Club in 1990, and also coached baseball several years. Sam enjoyed golfing, spending time with friends, and especially attending his grandkids’ sporting events. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Susie Rohr of Roann; two children, Samuel L. (Jolane) Rohr of Rochester, and Christy (Matt) Nicolaysen of Alpine, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Tom Rohr, Sarah Rohr, and Christopher Rohr, all of Rochester, Zachary McQuiddy and Abby McGinn, both of Alpine, Peyton Anderson of Tucson, Ariz., and Paris Smedley of Indiana; his brother, Brian (Karen) Featheringill of Columbus, Ohio; and his sister-in-law, Myrna Rohr of Hemet, Calif.. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Samantha Anderson, and two brothers, Charles and Rick Rohr. There will be no services.
