IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Anticipation is building for one of Indianapolis's most cherished autumn events, as the Circle City Classic makes its anticipated comeback on September 23rd, complete with the thrilling reintroduction of football to the festivities. The previous year's Circle City Classic weekend unfolded without the excitement of a football match, but this 39th edition will see the Mississippi Valley State University Delta Devils clashing with the North Carolina Central University Eagles on the gridiron. The event is a spectacular display of pomp and circumstance, drawing celebrities, elaborate floats, and vibrant marching bands, solidifying its status as one of the nation's premier parades. Be part of the excitement on Saturday, September 23, 2023, when close to 100,000 onlookers are expected to line the streets of downtown Indianapolis to witness the Classic Parade's grand procession. Esteemed artist and performer Trevor Jackson, hailing from Indianapolis, will take on the role of grand marshal for this year's parade. His participation extends beyond leading the procession; he will engage with fans during a meet and greet at the Circle City Classic Education Day. NOMADIC

Life on the Line

MOBFAM E

MOBFAM E hails from the vibrant music scene of Atlanta, but his roots trace back to Indianapolis, IN. His music is a genuine reflection of his experiences, making his tracks resonate deeply as they’re steeped in authenticity. Layered over compelling beats, E’s lyrical prowess shines as he delivers line after line with precision. His sound quickly found a home among local fans who were drawn to the raw truth encapsulated in his verses. Unlike many who enter the music industry chasing fame, wealth, or a glamorous lifestyle, E’s drive stemmed from a deeper, more personal place. Under the banner of Thug Vision, E has been diligently crafting a legacy. He invites his audience to witness the evolution of his artistic journey and the growth of the Thug Vision identity. His mixtapes "Thug Vision" and "Thug Vision 2" laid the groundwork for what would become his highly praised album, “Life on The Line.”

Recent events, however, have cast a shadow over MOBFAM E's rising career. Eric "Lil E" Butler has faced legal challenges, including an initial court appearance that resulted in his release on a $60,000 bond, now under the watchful eye of GPS monitoring. The allegations hanging over him are serious, including charges related to cocaine distribution, trafficking other narcotics, and illegal firearm possession. The hope is that he will overcome these obstacles and continue to enrich the cultural tapestry of his city with his art.
