WELCOME Dear Friends of NOAH, Thanks to your dedication and support, 2017 was another awe-inspiring year for the animals in our care. We united 3,177 dogs and cats with loving families, 1,013 of which, became adoptable as a result of our Foster program. Our in-house clinic performed an outstanding 8,086 spay and neuter surgeries to help reduce pet homelessness, including 660 feral cats at no charge, and 139 cats and dogs through Mom’s Last Litter Program. These amazing accomplishments were made possible because of you. I encourage you to flip through the next few pages to see all that we achieved together over the last year. OUR MISSION The Northwest Organization for Animal Help (NOAH) is dedicated to stopping the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable and treatable homeless dogs and cats. We are committed to high quality spay and neuter programs available for low-income residents, family-friendly pet adoptions, humane education, and volunteer programs through our state-of-the-art facilities and Spay/Neuter Center.

SPAY/NEUTER The NOAH Center’s spay/neuter clinic is one of the leading low-cost spay/neuter facilities in Washington State. Our team of veterinarians, veterinarian assistants, licensed vet techs, and clinic volunteers work tirelessly to reduce pet overpopulation through our affordable spay/ neuter programs. In 2017, NOAH Clinic staff performed 8,086 spay/ neuter procedures. This number includes NOAH animals, pets of low-income families, Mom’s Last Litter participants, and feral cats.

Dogs and Puppies
Of those 8,086 surgeries, a record-breaking 660 procedures were performed as part of our feral cat initiative. The NOAH Center partners with several organizations plus private individuals on a comprehensive trap and release program. We provide humane traps, spay/neuter surgeries and ear tipping at no charge, and our partners bring us cats and later release them back into their respective communities. These free-roaming felines are generally difficult to adopt into homes due to their often under socialized nature. Together, with our valued program partners, we enable this animal group to live out the course of their lives without adding to the homeless cat population. Every four-legged friend who arrives at NOAH's doors receives a medical assessment, spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations and microchipping. If a dog or cat has special needs, our clinic staff will do whatever is necessary to restore their health, even if it means emergency surgery. Every animal deserves a second chance.

The NOAH Center rescued 3,351 animals in 2017 through our transfer program. Animals were transported from 49 partner shelters located all across the United States. Some cats and dogs required extraordinary medical aid and care, while others just needed time and patience to find their perfect family. Many were rescued from partner shelters who simply did not have the resources to care for them. The average length of stay for cats, dogs, kittens and puppies was just four days. 4

In 2017, over 87 volunteer foster families opened their hearts and homes to care for 1,013 puppies, kittens, dogs and cats. Foster families expand the walls of our shelter so we can save more lives. They care for puppies and kittens too young to be at the shelter, provide a space for a cat or dog to recover from surgery, and even help animals overcome behavioral issues by assessing and reporting how they act in a home environment. Since starting the Foster program in 2011, our dedicated volunteers have rescued over 8,200 puppies and kittens.
VOLUNTEER IN 2017, 922 VOLUNTEERS DEDICATED 60,671 HOURS TO THE ANIMALS. Volunteers work in every department at NOAH and are vital to The NOAH Center’s success. In 2017, volunteers contributed over 50 percent of the work hours performed. Whether it is by providing direct animal care, fundraising, washing laundry, sterilizing surgical instruments, maintaining the grounds or answering phones, volunteers are needed in every capacity. Our volunteers are the number one reason why we are able to continue saving lives every year. 5

Laugh Your Tail Off 2017 was an evening full of laughter, good food, great friends and amazing fundraising. An outstanding $59,000 was raised to benefit the homeless cats and dogs in our care. Thank you to everyone who participated!
Music for the Animals was an unforgettable evening at the beautiful Chateau Ste. Michelle winery in Woodinville. Our generous guests raised more than $238,000 to support our life-saving programs here at The NOAH Center.

The NOAH Center's Alumni Association membership program is available to anyone who has adopted a pet from NOAH. Since its inception in 2016, it has raised $51,935 to benefit homeless animals. Today, our Alumni Association has more than 645 members. By contributing to a membership program, your dollars go a long way in helping NOAH and the cats and dogs in our care.
