WOW! This year's musical was AMAZING! You could tell how much time and effort was put into everything. The sets were beautiful, the lights were on point, the pit orchestra was amazing, and when it came to the acting and singing, everyone brought their A-Game.

Footloose is a musical about a teen named Ren McCormack, from Chicago, moving to a small midwestern town. After arriving in the town he discovers there is a ban on rock music and dancing, after a couple of teens died on their way to a dance. The town's spiritual leader, and father of Ren’s love interest, Reverend Shaw Moore tries his best to influence the town to stop Ren on his mission to bring back dancing and Rock and Roll.

Some notable roles were Alexander Yagud-Wolek as Willard Hewitt, a lovable character who always listens to his mom, Jules Mast as Ren and Heather Austin as Ariel Moore. Although I have only been to a few plays and musicals I know that they are extremely talented and are passionate about theater. They, along with the rest of the cast, put their heart and soul into each and every moment of the musical. And the soundtrack? IT WAS AMAZING. Some of the best songs were Mama Says, I Need a Hero, and Footloose. Considering Footloose is a culmination of the best of 80s Music, the pit orchestra was really what tied everything together. Something really impressive was the improvisation by Sean Reynolds on electric guitar and Joe Bisulca on drumset during a handful of scene changes.
