Flotilla and Christmas Market
Kick off the holiday season at a much-loved community event. Greater Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce will present its annual Flotilla and Christmas Market on December 3 at Soundside Park in Surf City. Shop among a wealth of local vendors at the market from 10 am to 4 pm. Food trucks will be onsite from 11 am to 7 pm, and live music will kick off at 5 pm. As dark settles in, watch the lighted boat parade. Pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available between 6:45 to 7:30 pm. To apply as a boater or vendor call (910) 329-4446. Surf City Firefighters Auxiliary hosted its third annual Boater Poker Run on Saturday, September 24. The event took place along the Intracoastal Waterway in Surf City, and participants vied for a chance to win the $2,500 cash Grand Prize or one of the other great prizes. 33rd Annual Autumn with Topsail Festival
The Autumn with Topsail Festival, an island tradition since 1988, is a giant community gathering on the grounds of the Historical Society of Topsail Island and the Assembly Building, which houses the Missiles & More Museum in Topsail Beach. Held October 14 through 16, the festival features a juried Artists’ and Crafts Court with more than 100 regional artists displaying and selling their work. Enjoy exciting live musical entertainment, a variety of food, beer and wine, inflatables and crafts for children and much more. Free shuttle service to the festival grounds is provided from various parking areas in Topsail Beach. Pets are not allowed at this festival.
