Stand The sign of the cross may be made by all in remembrance of their Baptism.

p In the name of the Father, and of the + Son, and of the Holy Spirit. C Amen CONFESSION & FORGIVENESS

Kneel/Stand Silence for reflection and self-examination.

p Come into the courts of the Lord and worship him in his holy temple: be thankful to him because he redeems us from our sins. C Almighty and gracious Father, we your children who disobeyed your command, committed sin by thought, word and deed, come to you praying that you will forgive us our sins according to your promises, and will remember them no more. And we pray that you will keep and preserve us from now on, that we may walk only in your way and live according to your will; and for the glory of your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen p For turning away from you, and ignoring your will for our lives: C Father forgive us, save us and help us. p For behaving just as we wish, without thinking of you: C Father forgive us, save us and help us. p For failing you not only by what we have done, but also by our thoughts and by what we have said: C Father forgive us, save us and help us. p For letting ourselves be drawn away from you by temptations in the world about us: C Father forgive us, save us and help us. p For acting as if we are ashamed to belong to your dear Son, Christ Jesus: C Father forgive us, save us and help us.
