LOVE Your Birth Experience

As told to: Basya Lev

I’ve always felt it is important to teach boys how to stay safe and to give them the tools that can enable them to save lives. Since one hears of many accidents happening during the Nine Days, and being that my husband is certified to teach CPR/First Aid, we decided he should offer a CPR/First Aid training to boys ages 8 and up after camp/ school during these days. We also felt this would be a productive outlet. A day after deciding this, I met a friend and asked if she could think of a catchy line for us. She claimed she wasn’t a writer, but soon returned with a captivating heading and an amazing flier. Two weeks before the class, she called me that she had told a friend about our training. She mentioned that at a CPR course she had taken, the instructor said children do CPR the best, because they do exactly what they learned without panicking. A while later, this friend called our headline writer and said that she felt this idea of teaching kids CPR is so important that she didn’t want money to get in the way of a child being able to take the training, and offered to sponsor a few boys.
