oxby Downs could have a new “best practice” model of early learning services by 2018, with a $4 million upgrade announced by SA Premier Jay Weatherill this week.

Visiting Roxby Downs as part of the Country Cabinet tour on Tuesday, Mr Weatherill said BHP Billiton and the State Government would each contribute $2 million to the initiative, aimed at supporting and improving early learning and family services in Roxby Downs. While the project is still in its infancy, it could result in a new facility potentially located in the current Roxby Downs Area School precinct. Mr Weatherill said the funding would assist the government to “expand our network of children’s centres and provides an opportunity for a more significant upgrade and a connection with the educational services in the area.” “Revitalising the services ensures workers and their families at Roxby Downs have access to innovative and supportive services and programs for their child’s development,” he said. Based on the children’s centre model, the project could include allied health, parenting support, community development, child care and early childhood education. CONTINUED PAGE 2

he Roxby Downs Community Hub has created much interest since opening two months ago.

Occupying the vacant store next to the Black Stump Café in the Roxby Central Traders Mall, the hub has seen a steady flow of people stopping in to ask questions or simply say hello. Co-ordinated by Mining Minds Project Officer Angela Thompson and Time for Wellbeing’s Angela Lafferty, the hub offers people and community groups health and education advice, as well as information on relevant services. Mining Minds and Time for Wellbeing are two partnerships seeded and supported by BHP Billiton Olympic Dam, aiming to improve learning, health and wellbeing in the local region. “(The hub) is not here to take away from the hospital, it is just making sure people know what services are available,” said Roxby Downs Community Hub co-ordinator Angela Lafferty. “We’re here to point people in the right direction and provide the accesses to these services so they can get further support.”

With Mrs Lafferty’s connection to the Time for Wellbeing program, the hub has taken on a similar aim of bringing the community together to create a healthier environment in which to live. Healthy Environs (partner of the program) Director, Sally Modystach, said the duo were doing a fantastic job with the hub and the message it was promoting. “One of the main focuses (for the hub) is keeping people well so we can be a bit of an avenue for them,” she said. “But if they are at risk of something like a chronic disease we are able to direct them in the direction of the hospital or Doctor Simon Lockwood. “It is just a small role we can play in protecting the wellbeing of the members of the community.” Mrs Lafferty said With many people were trying to do the same thing in town, aiming to get the same message out to the community, Mrs Lafferty said another focus was to streamline processes and combine any similar groups to make sure they remained sustainable going forward. The hub also aims to bring like-minded people together like the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) and its healthy eating practice with the local foodies. Mrs Lafferty said she and Mrs Thompson were there to get groups started, not to run them, so that when they weren’t there the groups could operate by themselves. The community hub would then act as a space for those groups. “The community hub is their (community and local groups) space, not ours,” she said. “We are just there as guests and because our workspace is there but we want to see the community take ownership of that space. It is good to have a hub like this.” The hub will find a new home next year when it is relocated to the former Blockbuster site in Richardson Place.

Record numbers for tourist season WRITTEN BY PATRICK GLOVER

W

ith the 2016 tourist season drawing to a close, visitor numbers to Roxby Downs have hit a five year high in some areas.

According to Roxbylink Visitor Information and Arts Officer Cassie Weir, data gathered over the last five years had only showed a five per cent variation either up or down for the 2016 season. There were a number of positives to come from the 2016 tourist season, Ms Weir said. “We had stronger visitor numbers through October this year than last year,” she said. “I believe our tourist season for 2016 has lasted longer as the weather hasn’t been as extreme as usual at this time. “We have been working with Arid Recovery to provide the Arid Recovery Sunset Tag-ALong Tours more frequently this year and this has boosted our numbers to be the highest they have been in the last five years.” Despite the success of the Arid Recovery tour, Olympic Dam Discovery Tour numbers suffered a little this year after being impacted by July’s Lizard’s Revenge protest. Bad weather also prevented access both to Roxby Downs and also the Arid Recovery Reserve. Ms Weir said she is excited about 2017 with the new tourist season bringing some new opportunities for locals and visitors. “Roxbylink is also working with Arid Recovery to trial a new tour for 2017, it will be a Starlight Dinner under the stars that will include a three course meal and of course viewing our amazing outback sunset,” she said. Olympic Dam Discovery Tours have now concluded and will resume again in mid-March. The Roxby Downs Visitor Information Centre will continue to be open over summer, however will be operated from the Roxbylink community library from December 24 to January 2.

South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC) Visitor Information Centre Partnership Manager Pat Gobell (far left) and SATC Business Manager Marc Leopold (second from left) paid a visit to Roxby Downs and surrounding towns last week. The pair, pictured here with Roxby Downs’ Katalin Wilby (centre) and Cassie Weir, visited to explore the main attractions of the area on invite from the Roxby Downs Business Forum Tourism Focus Group. Ms Gobell and Mr Leopold also took the time to help the focus group with it local tourism plan while in Roxby Downs.

Community rallies Forward

T

he Roxby Downs sporting community rallied behind young Hornridge footballer Lachy Forward on Saturday, raising $4335 for the injured player.

Forward is currently recovering from a broken arm sustained during the 2016 Far North Football League season. The recovery process has not been an easy one, with Forward suffering complications throughout including an infection resulting in multiple trips in and out of hospital and surgery in Adelaide. This has also hindered his ability to work and play the sport he loves. Representatives from sporting clubs Hornridge, Olympic Dam, the Miners, Barbarians and the Outback Poker League (OPL) filled the tables at the Roxby Downs Community Club for a knockout Texas Hold Em competition on Saturday night. The competition went down to the wire with Hornridge’s Adam Malm taking out first place worth $755.

With half the prize money being awarded to the winner and the other half put towards a charity of their choice, Malm elected to give all of it to Forward – a total of $1765. Club Manager Ben Vendeleur said a big thank you had to go to OPL’s Michelle Hurst and Ashlie Ali who promoted and organised the fundraiser and even pitched in more than $500 themselves towards the cause. “It was a remarkable night that I believe again proves that as a community we can get through anything together,” he said. Ms Hurst said she had been thrilled with the success of the night and was blown away by the generosity of all involved. “Without you all tonight’s poker game for Lachy Forward wouldn’t have been a success, so thanks to you all for your support,” she said via a Facebook post. While Adam Malm took out first prize on the night, Helen Eggart came second landing her $250.

Small fire at Olympic Dam landfill

A

small fire at BHP Billiton Olympic Dam’s landfill was reported at around 3.15pm on Sunday.

The smoke from the fire could be seen from as far away as the Roxby Downs township. BHP Billiton Lead Community Chad Menzies said the fire did not pose a threat to employees or the local community. “Authorities were notified and our teams worked with the SA Country Fire Service (CFS) to safely bring it under control,” Mr Menzies told The Monitor.

“Investigations into how the fire started are underway.” The Monitor contacted the CFS for comment on the incident but were unable to gain anything before deadline. BY PATRICK GLOVER

Duo transforming bodies and minds

T

wo local entrepreneurs are taking their passion for healthy living and helping transform the minds and bodies of a group of Roxby and Andamooka participants.

The brainchild of Elke Parks and Wes Knights, the ‘Ten Day Mind and Body Reset’ seeks to help people reconnect with their bodies, improve their mental health and wellbeing, and get into a better mindset around food and exercise. “As part of my own journey I was reading a book about how nutrition can affect the body and mind and how mindset can also affect nutrition, and I thought to myself, why don’t more people know this?” Mr Knights said. “I got in touch with Elke because I knew she could do the nutrition side and I could do the mindset, and we got together and packaged it up into the ten day program.” Both Mr Knights, qualified in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), and Mrs Parks, a qualified chef, are also studying nutrition and health coaching. The ‘Reset’ program is a combination of their skills in all these

ROLLING COLOUR EFFECT

areas and includes individual face-to-face and group sessions, meals and recipes, daily information and learnings, a private Facebook group for participants, and exercise. A key focus of the course is kicking bad habits that may have been established around food, with Mr Knights conducting an initial one-on-one mindset session with each participant, and Mrs Parks providing the first three days of meals fully catered. “We’re trying to break habits which might be things like not eating at work, or not finding the time to eat healthily, or not enjoying healthy food ... and get their positive thinking around nutrition ingrained for that first few days,” she said. The initial mindset coaching session with Mr Knights looks at a range of things like addiction to food, issues with time management, or lack of time for exercise. “We look at ways that we can open people’s awareness and why they do what they do, and how poor nutrition affects them mentally and physically,” he said. A group cooking class at the start of the

TOP-TO-BOTTOM WINDOW

program showed participants how to prepare their food for the following seven days using a balanced diet featuring simple recipes, wholefoods and no packaged items. Positive results, such as people giving up “fairly major” soft drink addictions, have already been seen. “We also had one person who was really against cooking in the kitchen and she was very proud that she got in there and is now organised for the next seven days,” Mrs Parks said. While weight loss may be an outcome of the program, it is not the key focus, Ms Parks said, with she and Mr Knights focussed on ensuring participants had the right tools to continue their healthy lifestyles long after the initial ten days. “Through my own journey I’ve realised that without the right mindset a healthy lifestyle is not going to happen,” she explained. “And it’s also not just going to happen overnight or through ten days of eating well – it’s going to take time.” The duo plans to run another program early in the new year.

T

he festive season countdown has begun and preparations are well underway for the Roxby Downs Community Christmas Pageant.

The pageant, run by the Rotary Club of Roxby Districts, will be held on Saturday, December 3, at 7pm and the local group is into the final stages of organising the event. “We have a band in place, Mr Buzzy is coming back because they just get what we are trying to do and what we are about and that people are there to sing along and dance,” said pageant co-ordinator Sandy Sumsion. “We have already had commitments for trucks confirmed, toilets and all the stuff we have to have to make it all come together.” Mrs Sumsion had been heart-

ened to see local business’ commitment towards the pageant. “The businesses realise the importance of this community event and not one has said no to helping,” she said. Along with monetary donations, Mrs Sumsion said in-kind help included donations of stages, toilets, placing of bins and all the things the event couldn’t run without. Santa’s Cave, always a key attraction in the lead-up to the pageant, will again begin to take shape in the Roxby Central Traders’ hub in the mall in the coming weeks. Central traders’ chairperson Katalin Wilby said the group had always supported the pageant and was pleased they could be running Santa’s Cave once again.

She said the cave was really well received last year and was hoping to get a similar reception this year. The Traders are one of the many sponsors of the event along with BHP Billiton, Raine & Horne Roxby Downs, The Monitor, RoxFM, Roxby Downs Council and Toll Transport. In addition, BSH Waste Management, Coates Hire, Cowell Electrical, Roxby Downs Motor Inn and Roxby Downs Emergency Services - Police, Ambulance and SES - all contribute to the night. Mrs Sumsion said the pageant involved a lot of planning, starting almost the minute the previous one finished with tidy-up, post-event meeting and securing the band, and then preparations ramping up around July/August. Roxby Early Learning five years young

WRITTEN BY PATRICK GLOVER

R

oxby’s Early Learning Community Group (RELCG) celebrated its fifth birthday with a special event on Monday, November 14 – having opened five years ago to that day.

Staff, families and children celebrated with a barbecue, special performances and a birthday cake. RELCG Director Gail Reid said the team was excited to celebrate the milestone and looked forward to providing the community with many more years of high quality service. Ms Reid said it was not just the staff that made the centre what it was today, but also all the help from volunteers. “We have had great support from many volunteers in the Roxby Downs community and I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to

RELCG, through working bees and fundraising or by donating craft materials and equipment,” she said. “I would also like to acknowledge our dedicated management committee members who volunteer their time and skills to RELCG; their support and guidance over the past five years has been invaluable. “Finally, I want to acknowledge the committed staff who have worked so hard to make RELCG a place where children can explore, create and have fun. “We’re always ready to welcome new families into our big RELCG family and encourage parents to come and visit the centre to see firsthand what a great place RELCG is to learn and play.” The RELCG has grown over the past five years, starting with just the eight children (three babies and five children over two) on the opening day, to now providing care for more than 200 children.

After previously operating from 1990-1996, the local scouts had a break before reigniting ten years ago. The club is holding a combined end of term, Christmas and ten-year celebration at the Roxbylink outdoor pool this Saturday, and Mr Gaskin hoped to see as many current and past members there as possible. “We are getting all the old leaders, members and sponsors involved – we have had quite a few over the years,” he said. “We have already confirmed a few attendees for Saturday’s festivities, with the District Commissioner coming up as well, so it should be quite the show.” Considering the various changes the club had undergone over the years, Mr Gaskin said there would be plenty of stories to be told. Cubs Sectional Leader Bec Tayler has been with the local scouts since they re-started in 2006 and has seen a lot change in the past 10 years. “There has been lots of leader changes and the numbers have fluctuated a little with the town and the mine,” Ms Tayler said. “Other things that have changed have included starting to work with other groups (such as) other scout groups in the district, so we are getting to

know each other better. “We have even run activities and events with Adelaide groups, whereas the first time they wouldn’t have even known who we were.” Numbers have never been a weak point since the group re-formed in 2006, with 100 scouts across the three groups enrolled at one stage. Ms Tayler said at one point there was even a waiting list with parents signing their children up before they were even born to make sure there was

MINING

a spot available by the time they came of age - and they have only recently finished receiving all the children enrolled as babies. Mr Gaskin said activities had also been adapted over the ten years due to numbers and the different leaders that were in charge, although the key message the group focussed on remained unchanged. “We still, and always have, stuck to the fundamentals of scouting and keeping in mind the number one rule – have fun,” Mr Gaskin said.

BHP festival support continues

B

HP Billiton will continue to support an Adelaide-based Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art festival, it announced last week. After a “hugely successful” first event in October, BHP Billiton will partner with TARNANTHI, the Festival of Contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art, for another five years to 2021. Presented by the Art Gallery of South Australia and supported

by the South Australian Government, the festival brings together Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists from around Australia to share their stories and culture through works of art. Audiences of 311,000 in 2015 made TARNANTHI the largest Aboriginal art event staged in South Australia, including more than 14,000 young people who attended education and children’s programs.

“The two-day art fair attracted 5,500 visitors and generated over $450,000 in direct sales to artists and art centres,” Olympic Dam Asset President Jacqui McGill said. “With the extension of our partnership for a further five years, we look forward to an even bigger celebration – with greater involvement from young people, but also from regional areas right across Australia.”

SA minerals prospects highly rated

S

outh Australia continues to rate highly for minerals exploration investment, an industry survey recently found.

In fact, only Western Australia achieved a higher rating in the annual Grant Thornton Jumex survey. In its annual survey of 80 junior mining and exploration companies, the Jumex survey found that 40 per cent of respondents rated South Australia as an attractive State for new mineral investment. It also found that there had been an improvement THE MONITOR - Your Community Newspaper

in market conditions for junior miners, and that gold was likely to attract investment in 2017. SA Minister for Mineral Resources and Energy Tom Koutsantonis welcomed the results, saying the State Government was “committed to working with explorers to unlock these resources and create jobs in our economy”. “These survey results are a very good sign of confidence in South Australia and it is pleasing to see that so many investors see SA as an attractive place to develop new mining projects.” www.themonitor.com.au

Awareness in white

T

he Alcohol and Substance Abuse Forum is hosting a White Ribbon Day event this week as part of a national campaign to prevent men’s violence against women.

As part of the event, the forum is also organising a BBQ in the Roxby Central Traders mall with local men taking the oath at 12 noon this Friday, 25 November. White Ribbon uses the definition of men’s violence against women found in the United Nations Declaration on the Elimination of Violence against Women; ‘any act of gender-based

violence that results in, or is likely to result in, physical, sexual or psychological harm or suffering to women, including threats of such acts, coercion or arbitrary deprivations of liberty, whether occurring in public or private life.’ The impact of this violence on women can be physical, sexual and psychological. Violence against women can also result in death; women die from the negative health effects of violence and some are killed. One in three Australian women will experience violence in an intimate relationship. This is personal and unfortunately it is happening to people we know and care about. The aim of this event is to raise awareness about domestic violence and its effect on women and children. Violence against women affects women’s well-being and prevents them from fully participating in society. It also impacts on families, the community and the nation. We need to make a stand as a community, so join the Alcohol and Substance Abuse Forum this Friday at 12 noon in the mall and help put an end to the violence against women.

A

dump site was recently discovered on the outkirts of Roxby Downs. Illegal dumping is unsightly and a hazard to the natural wildlife, with cleaning up an expensive exercise utilising numerous staff and resources.

Illegal dumping is against the law (under Section 235, Local Government Act 1999) and Roxby Council will issue a fine to anyone found dumping their rubbish in a public place without council permission. Roxby Council wants to remind residents that the Resource Recovery Centre located on Gosse Street is a free service and should prevent anyone from the need to dump their rubbish. If you see anyone dumping rubbish or household items please call Roxby Council on 8671 0010 or email roxby@roxbycouncil.com.au. To assist with our investigations please tell as much as you can about what you witnessed including where the dumping took place, description of people involved, vehicle registration number and the type of waste. To find out more about Roxby Downs’ waste services you can visit the Roxby Council website on www. roxbycouncil.sa.gov.au.

Roxbylink staff are currently planning the art gallery’s 2017 exhibition calendar and applications are open for artists wishing to exhibit. The galler y has hosted some very diverse exhibitions over 2016, with highlights including local artists Rachel Young, Alex Mendelsshon, Marek Herburt and the community exhibition to celebrate ten years of Roxby Downs’ Arts and Culture Forum. The space is free to hire with a commission agreement between the artist and Roxbylink. For more information or to book your space, call Cassie Weir on 8671 5941. Riders tackle 100km Amy’s Ride R oxby Downs was well represented at Bike SA’s Amy’s Ride in Adelaide earlier this month.

Members of cycling group the Roxby Road Riders, local teachers Daniel McGuire, Lee Copeland and Andrew Hudson were joined by former Roxby residents Rebecca Gardner, Chris Jones and John Warneke to tackle the 100km, which started at Flinders University and finished at McLaren Vale’s Serafino Winery. Meanwhile, Andrew Stanley undertook the 35km ride with his children. Held in conjunction with the Amy Gillett Foundation (AGF), Amy’s Ride is a non-competitive

event offering distances of 12km, 35km, 70km, 100km or 125km, all finishing at McLaren Vale. The AGF works to raise cycle safety awareness in the memory of Amy Gillett, an Australian competitive cyclist killed on a training camp in Germany in 2005. For Hudson, Gardner, Jones and Warneke it was the third time they had completed the ride, which travels down the South Expressway, through the coastal suburbs of Christies Beach, Moana and Aldinga, and then loops back to McLaren Vale via the notorious Willunga Hill. “It was good fun, it’s great to be able to ride up the Southern Ex-

pressway and have it all to yourself,” Hudson said. “It’s also a real buzz to be able to ride with two thousand-odd other cyclists from all different clubs and experience and fitness levels. “Everybody’s very cheerful and friendly and every year we’ve ridden we get asked the same questions – did we ride to Adelaide from Roxby, and as we ride up Willunga Hill, people often like to comment that there’s not many hills up our way!” Willunga Hill is a three-kilometre climb known as one of the toughest in Adelaide which, Hudson said, seemed easier this year. “Willunga Hill was alright, you

just have to take it at steady pace – it does get easier each time I’ve gone up it,” Hudson said. “There’s always going to be people passing you and you will pass other people, so you just need to do your own ride and look forward to the downhill on the other side.” Hudson said the highlight of this year’s ride was the chance to complete it with a larger group of friends than ever before. “It was great to be able to relive that journey with a couple of people who hadn’t done it before, to empathise with them about what we were going through and also to see that they were enjoying it,” he said.

Sixty ride winds up for year

T

he final SixtyRide for 2016 will be held in Roxby Downs this Sunday, 27 November.

Coordinated by national body Bicycle Network, SixtyRide is a free, fun family-friendly monthly cycling event aimed at getting people out on their bikes in their local communities. Now operating across Australia, the ride sees cyclists undertake as many laps of a set 5km route as possible in 60 minutes. Local SixtyRide coordinator Andrew Hudson said anyone with a bike was welcome to join in on the final ride for this year. “This is our sixth and final ride for 2016 and it’s been a great six months or so, with an average of 12 riders joining us each month,” Hudson said. “The emphasis is really on just getting out and having a go, so everyone is welcome no matter what kind of bike they have, or their age or experience. “Everyone just goes at their own speed and it doesn’t matter if you complete one lap or five. “It’s also a great chance for parents to bring their children and teach them about the road rules at a time when Roxby’s roads are pretty quiet.” Families, new riders and children (supervised by parents) are all welcome – to join the ride, meet at the Roxby town oval at 8.45am this Sunday for a 9am start. For further information, contact Hudson on 0408 856 705.

New blood in charge at golf club

A

new committee has stepped up to lead the Roxby Downs Golf Club, following its recent Annual General Meeting.

Adam Malm was elected as the new president while Michael Paul and Glenn Mungur were appointed joint club captains. Damien Condon was re-elected onto the committee, this time as

secretary having held every other role on the committee over the past 11 years. “We are always looking for new people with fresh ideas,” Condon said. “We have a pretty good committee and although we have lost a lot of long-lasting people, we have blooded a lot of new ones at the same time.” Condon said it was

good for the new committee members to come in and give it a fresh perspective. He said Wade Hooper already had some good ideas moving forward, including holding major South Australian golfing tournaments at the club. Condon said he believed the commitee’s new faces could help achieve that. Along with his role as secretary, the club

stalwart will also act as a guidance to the new committee members in their first stints on the committee. He said he would only be serving one out of the two years as part of the term before stepping away from the committee. There is currently an interim treasurer with a more permanent one set to be named later. BY PATRICK GLOVER

Teams battle for top spot Olympic Dam 2/157 def Hornridge 129

F

riday night saw Olympic Dam take on Hornridge in a battle for top of the table honours as the half way point of the cricket season draws near.

Devils skipper Patrick Glover (53) won an important toss and along with evergreen Craig Nichols (71), the reigning premiers were able to cautiously move to drinks at 0/59. Hornridge were bending their backs with Jacques Ellis (0/21) Jeremy Oldfield (0/7) and Leroy Kavanagh (1/38) all bowling well but without luck early. The fear for OD was the balance between wickets in hand and run rate as the overs began to tick by, knowing that Hornridge had some hitting power. After Nichols and Glover were dismissed the score gently pushed towards 150 but OD must have felt they had left some runs in the shed and would have to bowl exceptionally well. After Glover (2/24) and the returning Seb Holbrook (2/20) removed the Hornridge openers – Kavanagh and Cam Denbesten - it was Brad “Bunga” Rynne (91) who changed the game in a one man show for Hornridge with some power hitting. OD looked to take wickets at the other end which they did in regular intervals with Nicholas “Salty” Howard on the money with his comet-like Yorkers taking

3/11 off his seven overs. Clint Gow-Smith walked down to borrow Beeps’s ridiculous orange headband and was stumped without scoring. The stumping capped off a great night for Nichols with the gloves with three catches to go with it completing his man of the match performance. It was the re-introduction of Holbrook who caught the edge of Rynne’s mighty willow to send him back to the pavilion after a mighty knock. Rein Geraghty (2/17) cleaned up the tail in a great game played in great spirit. Hornridge were missing a few batters which could have been the difference and with both teams at full strength this proves to be very little between these two teams.

Roxby Miners 5/132 def East Roxby 125

T

he Miners continued East Roxby’s shaky form in the 40-over competition with a convincing five wicket win on Saturday night.

East Roxby won the toss and got off to a solid start with Chamila Rathnajake (16) and T. Ahush (19) putting on a partnership to get the Roos underway. The pair guided their side through the new ball without taking much risk and resulting in a slow run rate. The wicket of Rathnajake brought Sa-

chira Muthukumarana to the crease, who went about upping the tempo. But when he fell followed soon after by Seb Griggs the wheels started falling off for the Roos. Dan Rainsford contributed 22 to the total and a late flurry from Andrew Moss (17) were the only other major contributors for East Roxby. Wickets were shared around for the Miners with Travis Capper the pick with 3/16 of his eight overs. In reply Paul Trotta proved the anchor at the top of the order for the Miners compiling 21 as he went through two partners. Patrick Attard (37no) and Jon Sieburn (37) put on 48 for the fourth wicket to guide their side to within striking distance of East Roxby’s meagre total. After Sieburn fell Capper joined Attard to finish the job. Muthukumarana (2/20) put up stiff resistance to attempt at restricting the Miners to under 130 but to no avail. This weekend will see players enjoy a well-earned break with the third test match between Australia and South Africa coming to Adelaide. Matches will resume the following weekend with Miners taking on Hornridge in a Friday night clash and Olympic Dam playing East Roxby the morning of the Roxby Downs Community Christmas pageant in the first day game in a few years.

East Roxby captain Troy Mulders looks to play a defensive shot.
