The Mining Journal Menu Guide

Welcome to a taste of the past ... History seldom leaves intact the physical reminders of its triumphs and tragedies. The Iron Bay Restaurant and Drinkery building sits among history preserved and treasured. History took place outside our windows, and under our very roof. It was the ore from the Marquette iron range, turned to steel, that built the railroads and cannons that doomed the South during the Civil War. That ore would then go on to fuel the industrial revolution, win World War I and World War II, build towns and schools, magnificent bridges, entire cities – and literally change the world. The Iron Bay Restaurant and Drinkery building witnessed the mighty iron era, often providing the tools and hardware needed for massive mining operations, along with some surprising innovations and inventions. Today, the excellent dining and imbibing experience we offer can be enjoyed while absorbing the many reminders, images and mementos of Marquette’s rich history. The menu below is just a sampling of our many delicious signature specialties. And our deserts are prepared by none other than Marquette’s “Peace Pie” bakery, including the incredible “Tall Ship Apple,” that can’t be beat when accompanied by a cup of Stone Creek Coffee. The Iron Bay in-house beer and wine list is among the most extensive in the Upper Peninsula region. We also offer a convenient takeout service, simply by calling 906-273-0990. For a complete listing of our ever-evolving menu, simply go to our website at: www.ironbaymqt.com Much more about the history of Iron Bay can be found on our website, including the most recent edition of the Iron Bay Times. And please remember, we are always looking for more artifacts to display that help recreate Marquette’s amazing history.
