millwatermotors The 43rd Ellerslie Intermarque Concours d’Elegance and Classic Car Show, held on 13th and 14th February, once again showcased some of the world’s best automotive creations: from classic Alvis to modern Zagato. From the original horseless carriage to the highest in horsepower, they were all there. The Millwater Mag went along, replete with a hankie to catch the saliva, to capture this photomontage of marvellous metal and glass – so that you know something of what you might see at next year’s Ellerslie show – make sure you put Valentine’s weekend 2017 in your diary now! There were automobiles of all marques; past and present, new and old, to enjoy. Proud owners of polished perfection welcomed questions from an inquisitive public and, in the case of one local owner, invited the Millwater Mag to get in touch and plan to showcase a very special car from the 1930’s – more of that in the May magazine! Rather reluctantly, but with memories, wish-lists and dreams, we left the show to rejoin our much more mundane “Japanese Mercedes” of modern vintage. Roll on 2017, do I hear you say?
