Born and brought up in Capetown, South Africa, Mike is a qualified lawyer who has specialised in the insurance business since 1987, including seven years owning his own business there. Moving to New Zealand in 2009, Mike and family immediately felt the calmness and social warmth of of living here. Leveraging directly and specifically from his legal background turned out to be a bonus here in Auckland, where Mike applied his experience and talents to dealing with a very broad spectrum of society. He absorbed quickly the local and NZ-specific issues around balancing risk and debt.
