Grey Power is an active organisation that has been protecting the rights of senior citizens for over 50 years and has more than 70 local associations throughout the nation. Members have benefited greatly from the advocacy carried out on their behalf with government and also from the provision of a $2,000 Accidental and Dismemberment Policy insured by AIL.

Grey Power is now offering its members an exciting new benefit – considerable power savings by switching to Grey Power Electricity. More than 7,000 members have joined this new electricity company since it began late last year and now the supply of natural gas and LPG is also available with one bill for both electricity and gas.

Among the excellent features of Grey Power Electricity are the following:

• Long-term price protection. There is a guaranteed cap on power prices for four years. Any increases in line charges will be passed on and the way in which the bill is set out will show the difference that has occurred since the last bill;

• Transparent billing. The various items making up the monthly bill are itemised separately so it is clear just how the total is derived;

• No cancellation fees. Customers can leave Grey Power Electricity by giving 30 days’ notice. There are no fees for dis connecting or cancellation; and

• Overdue payments. While other suppliers charge a high percentage for late payments, Grey Power Electricity may charge up to $1 a day and customers will be contacted by phone when a payment is overdue.
