IT’S ALL GOING ON AT THE WHITE SWAN
The White Swan in Dronfield is much more than a traditional inn, it is probably the area’s best known live music venue. They welcome visitors to the new McCartney Lounge. Located on the first floor, this recently refurbished room is a great addition to the pub’s facilities not only for presenting live music but also as a dedicated function room for parties and celebrations. With free room hire, subject to terms and conditions, it is well worth checking out availability. They have christened it the ‘McCartney Lounge’ to honour The Beatles 50th anniversary and it comes complete with a new stage and its own bar. It is also available for live music events organised by acts and agents so interested parties can contact Ray for details. Events already arranged include Chris Firminger and Rob Coyne appearing this Friday from 9.30pm, while on Sunday there will be an Acoustic Open Mic’ and Quiz from 7.30pm. However it is worth noting that every Tuesday sees Russ Dennett, of Human League fame, hosts his own Open Mic’ evenings from 9.30pm. These very popular nights are now in their eighth year.
