LET’S GET TRAVELING
After cancelled trips, postponed celebrations, and quarantined travel delays - travellers are now ready to start making up for lost time and get out there. Time to get them out of those sweat pants and put themselves first, ready for the travel experiences they deserve. Over the next year, an estimated 40% of U.S. based travelers are much more willing to treat themselves and spend more money on their next trip. From an indulgence in a
grand luxury experience, to checking off their bucket-list destinations, or opting for premium lodging and flights - its all about splurging on anything or all the things that can take your trip or travel plans from just mediocre to extravagant. A study revealed that travelers between the ages of 18 and 34 are more likely to go big, while those travelers in Gen-X are more likely to splurge on high-end dining experiences. DENVER | COLORADO | VOL 1
Going big does not simply mean taking a bucket-list trip and calling it a done deal. In the coming year, American travelers are pursuing their greatest-of-all-time trips by stepping outside comfort zones and immersing themselves in a chosen destination, culture, and/or experience that is completely different to their norm. From having a go at foods never eaten or experienced before and experimenting
6
with exotic local delicacies, to attending authentic music venues, and seeking out off the beaten path excursions and destinations, U.S. travelers have a renewed curiosity to indulge and experience the world. Travelers are not just craving new places or tastes, they are also yearning the feeling of excitement and exhilaration that are once again available to be sought after..

DESIGN TRENDS
Interior design trends have definitely changed over this past year, with all of the new challenges many people face working from home, and staying inside for the majority of the time, it has made design choices, décor ideas, and emotional well being more of a priority.
People are now becoming intimate with their living spaces, mostly staring at the same walls, colors, and spaces and it has left the populace looking for ways to freshen up their spaces. One of the main themes we are seeing is a transformation of interior spaces into comfortable and private sanctuaries. Using designs that appeal via tactile design choices, sustainable materials, soothing palettes, woods, greenery, art and layering textures are some features we are seeing. Another common trend currently are bold accents, abstract curves, and more organic shapes which serve to offset tones and bring a softer feel to the interior.

The working remote trend and spending lots of time inside looks like it will continue for some time, lending credence to design choices which help reduce any audible distractions, such as soundproofing, multi-panel windows, sound dampening materials, and carpeting. With the majority of work being performed in a single space people feel the need to break away from any monotony and impart décor and/or design choices which do just that. A mindful choice around wellness, natural elements, and nice accents paves the way for that healthy balance needed during this challenging time.
“... bold accents, abstract curves, and more organic shapes ...”
If a dedicated home-office is not feasible, there has been a trend towards multifunctional spaces that can double as both a comfortable office space, and as a living or dining area as well. A well thought out and comfortable working space can fit just about anywhere and provide the function needed to perform work duties. Some things to keep in mind with these ( ...continued on 20 )

new working spaces, is what things are visible on the walls or spaces around them during our video calls or webcam meetings. A resurgence of having abstract art on the walls either in picture form or murals can help add that accent or pop, or even a new wall texture, paneling, a bold new color or coverings such as wallpaper are all coming back. The current color

palette currently includes natural tones such as blues, greens, browns, and yellows. These new accents are not only limited to walls, but can also be used for décor choices, carpeting, or a piece of furniture as well. Whatever design choices you make keep in mind to tailor it to your personal tastes, this is your sanctuary after all.
