The Lydians, one of the premier musical groups in Trinidad and Tobago consists of singers, steelpannists, African and Tassa drummers and treasured creative collaborators. It was founded in 1979 by Bishop Anstey High School Music Teacher, Joyce Spence, and in 1985, Miss Alma Pierre took direction of the choir. In 1987 Pat Bishop agreed to take up the baton until her passing in 2011. From 2017 -2019 Ms. Lorraine Granderson served as Musical Director with Assistant Musical Director Mr Carl-Anthony Hines. As of October 2020, Carl-Anthony Hines was appointed Musical Director.
