A World Class Master Calibre is presented in a New Rose Gold Case with Platinum Dial

Dedicated to shorttime measurement, the TONDA PF Chronographe Rattrapante (Split Seconds Chronograph) with its two column-wheels is an exceptional watchmaking instrument. Powered by Calibre PF361, a manually wound movement that beats at a rate of 5 Hz or 36,000 Vph, the chronograph times intervals to one-tenth-of-a-second precision.

This new reinterpretation of the timepiece is presented with an 18ct rose gold case and bracelet, and a sandblasted platinum dial complemented by rose gold hands and applied rose gold hour-markers. The sapphire crystal caseback allows the wearer to admire the 18ct rose gold movement, which features open-worked bridges and a barrel bearing the signature of Michel Parmigiani, who created the calibre to mark his Maison’s 20th anniversary.

Split-seconds chronographs represent the best of the chronograph complication category. Designed to measure intermediate (split) times, they are equipped with two superimposed chronograph hands. Activating the 1

o’clock pusher makes the two hands turn together. Pressing the 4 o'clock pusher stops the upper hand while the lower hand continues running. Another press at 4 o'clock brings the upper hand back to the second one in a move that has led to the French term rattrapante (“catchup”) for this function. The split time is measured at the first stop. This highly sophisticated function is one of the most difficult

complications to create, on a par with a tourbillon or a minute repeater.

The TONDA PF Split Seconds Chronograph is all about performance. Its integrated Manufacture movement, Calibre PF361, is a highly sophisticated mechanism with a vertical clutch, along with two column-wheels each playing a different role: one is dedicated to the chronograph and the

other to operating the split-seconds function via the pusher integrated into the crown.

The balance wheel is held in place by a cross through bridge in 18ct rose gold – a material used to form the entire structure (baseplate and bridges) holding the moving parts. The architecture of the calibre has been designed to ensure its longevity and enable it to withstand shocks; devotees of haute horlogerie will appreciate the challenge of shaping a material as malleable as gold into a structure that is both robust and elegant. Naturally, the movement components are adorned with the haute horlogerie finishes that are a signature of Parmigiani Fleurier, including hand-bevelled edges on all of the bridges. Calibre PF361 comprises 309 parts, including 35 jewels, and offers a 65hour power reserve.

The purified aesthetic of the dial is designed to enhance readability of the hours and minutes as well as the chronograph indications, which are complemented by a small-seconds indicator at six o’clock. Tachymeter and pulsometer scales encircle the dial, while


the central split-seconds hands are distinguished from each other by different colours. Complementing the 18ct rose gold applied hour-markers, the skeletonised hour and minute hands are also 18ct rose gold.

The TONDA PF Split Seconds Chronograph displays all the aesthetic signatures of the TONDA PF collection. The case and bracelet are integrated into a fluid overall design, framed by the Maison's signature knurled

bezel and featuring teardrop-shaped chronograph pushers.

Epitomising the expertise of an integrated Manufacture, the new rose gold TONDA PF Split Seconds Chronograph is

offered in a limited and numbered edition of 30 pieces. Complementing the 18ct rose gold case and bracelet, it is delivered with an additional alligator leather strap.



Audemars Piguet is happy to unveil a new black ceramic iteration of its Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Chronograph highlighting its architectural micro-mechanics with new striking green accents. Mounted on a matching green interchangeable rubber strap, this sporty timepiece brings intricate hand-craftsmanship, in concert with cutting-edge technology. With this new limited edition of 100 pieces, Audemars Piguet’s mastery of materials and colours takes another step forward on the occasion of the collection’s 30th anniversary.


In 2021, the Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Chronograph marked the beginning of a new generation of Royal Oak Offshore with a 43 mm diameter. This year, the Manufacture launches a new version crafted in black ceramic.

The manufacturing of the ceramic case follows a complex industrial flow, requiring meticulous programming, dedicated tools and skilled personnel. Zirconium Oxide

(ZrO2) powder is combined with binder content, the composition of which remains a closely guarded secret. This feedstock is given preliminary shape by five-axis computer-numerically controlled (CNC) milling machines, before the binder is removed. Each component obtains its hardness and final colour by sintering at approximately 1,000 °C. The component is then hard machined with diamond-tipped tools before being pre-polished and pre-satin-brushed.

Ultimately, all the components of the black ceramic case are hand-finished with the Manufacture’s

trademark alternation of satin brushing and polished chamfers. This juxtaposition of finishing techniques gives life to the multifaceted case which toys with the light with each move of the wrist.

This labour of love now extends rearside, too, as the timepiece encompasses a ceramic caseback for the first time in the 43 mm Royal Oak Offshore collection. This fine component, engraved with “Royal Oak Offshore Limited Edition of 100 Pieces,” frames a sapphire-crystal display window revealing the inner work of Calibre 2967 and its blackened 22-carat pink gold oscillating weight matching with the case colour.


The 2023 iteration presents a dramatic evolution of the selfwinding Calibre 2967 launched in 2021. This 526-part flyback chronograph movement is regulated by a flying

tourbillon, whose single underlying bridge holds the rotating cage at 6 o’clock. While calling on historic Haute Horlogerie techniques, this movement also sports a contemporary, 3D architecture which offers an exciting canvas for aesthetic experimentation.

The architectural black PVD-coated titanium bridges, finished with satin-brushing and hand-polished angles, are enriched with vivid green inserts endowed with an even aluminium coating, achieved through an electrolytic process called “anodisation.” Lastly, the bright external polished chamfers highlight the bridges’ titanium base and add depth to the multi-layered movement.

The two translucent chronograph counters, outlined with a black outer ring, leave the view of the two-tone movement unencumbered, while 18-carat pink gold hands, illuminated with luminescent coating, glow on their journey around the dial. Furthermore, a

green anodised inner bezel, keeping in with the bridge inserts and strap, serves as the minutes track, while red chronograph hands add a racy flash of colour.


This limited timepiece is fitted with the Manufacture’s interchangeable strap system complementing the latest generation of Royal Oak Offshore models. This system has been directly integrated into the case’s studs and buckle. The ease and efficiency of the new system allows wearers to change the straps and buckles of their new timepiece themselves with a quick click and release. The double-push system also grants optimum security when the watch is worn on the wrist.

The watch’s green rubber strap can be swapped out for the second black rubber strap coming with the model. Owners benefit furthermore from the ‘AP’ folding clasp in lightweight, satin-finished titanium.






Aston Martin and Girard-Perregaux proudly present the Laureato Green Ceramic Aston Martin Edition, the first Laureato timepiece to feature a green ceramic case and bracelet. This is the latest collaboration between the prestigious Swiss maison and the British ultra-luxury marque, two institutions with a rich history of creating iconic products that stand the test of time, through excellence in design, materials and craftsmanship. The limited-edi-

tion timepiece also marks Aston Martin’s iconic association with the colour green, from its early heritage in motorsport to today’s Aston Martin Racing Green.

While some of the materials used for this new timepiece are ultra-modern, the essence of Girard-Perregaux’s inaugural 1975 Laureato, which translates to English as “Graduate” and was named following the 1970s film, has been

respected. The highly exclusive Laureato Green Ceramic Aston Martin Edition is offered in a choice of two case sizes - 42mm and 38mm - and limited to just 388 and 188 examples.

Sleek, contemporary and notably elegant, the design of the Laureato Green Ceramic Aston Martin Edition encompasses elements inspired by Aston Martin cars, from powerful engines to sleek contours and lightweight construction. It is this latter trait which encouraged Girard-Perregaux to equip this new model with skeletonised ‘baton’ type hour and minute hands, both light and functional. The watch dial is presented in a cross-hatch design, a diamond-like pattern found on Aston Martin’s original ‘AM’ logo used from 1921-1926, as well as the quilted leather upholstery found in some of the marque’s high-performance vehicles.

In the same way that the timeless design of the Laureato has attracted the admiration of enlightened commentators and watch aficionados, Aston Martin has repeatedly shown its prowess for sculpting iconic shapes that have never lost their appeal. Whether it’s a DB4 of the early 60s, a DBS V8 of the 70s or a modern-day Vantage, all models share the same attributes of elegance, luxury and performance.

Aston Martin’s iconic association with the colour green began many decades ago, when manufacturers raced in the colours of their country of origin, in this case British Racing Green. Since then, Aston Martin racing cars have competed in various shades of green before resting on the now familiar Aston Martin Racing Green, which adorns its Formula 1® cars. It was a logical conclusion for this co-branded timepiece to be dressed in green, a colour that evokes thoughts of performance and success.

We’re always exploring combinations of technology, colour, and materials in Aston Martin sports cars to enrich performance, functionality and owner enjoyment. Together we’ve fused these ideas and attributes to generate this cool new Aston Martin GP Laureato”.

Qannati Objet d’Art, premier maker of precious wearable art objects, is pleased to announce that its debut collection “Celebration of Time” has received two prestigious awards in separate global competitions.

The awards, given in November 2022 by the French Design Institute and the Middle East Watch & Jewelry awards, come within just months of Qannati’s launch of its inaugural collection of Eternity bracelets and Quantum timepieces. Marking Qannati’s breakthrough into the world of jewelry bracelets and métiers d’art timepieces, Celebration of Time was unveiled on July 5, 2022, at an exclusive presentation in Paris, in the

These two awards are a crowning achievement for Qannati Objet d’Art, an independent brand dually anchored in France and Bahrain. Qannati is thrilled to have been recognized for both its aesthetics and its sustainable approach by industry specialists and peers in two separate and independent competitions.

The JANUS award, a label of excellence created in 1953 by the French Ministry of Industry and Foreign Trade, is awarded by the French Design Institute (L’Institut Français du Design) to companies with an “outstanding and long-term commitment to progress in the service of people, industry and the environment.”

This year’s JANUS prize for Patrimony & Innovation recognized the outstanding qualities of Qannati’s métiers d’art timepiece collection for its authentic narrative and its cultural footing. The jury found that Qannati seamlessly conjugates “temporal elements through the lens of ancient myths of humanity.” On his point, the French Design Institute said:

“The jury appreciated the artisanal quality of a collection of luxury objects which, in a hyper-competitive market where tradition and continuity are highly valued, brings true innovation, with an original and coherent narrative that inspires thanks to its unique archaeological footing and its quality craftsmanship at the pinnacle of high jewelry and watchmaking.”

Additionally, the jury praised Qannati for its sustainable approach to upcycling materials, and for creating exceptional pieces without encouraging mining activity” and through sustainable practices that “promote alternatives to mining.”

Qannati is thrilled that the jury found that the Maison’s approach reinforces the brand’s positive image in a world where reputation and the ability to “make people dream” are essential.


Before an audience of 200 guests, Qannati Objet d’Art received this year’s distinguished award for “Best Theme Jewelry” at the 18th annual Middle East Watches & Jewelry Awards held at the Music Hall, in Dubai. This year’s Middle East Watches and Jewelry Awards ceremony, sponsored by Arabian Watches and Jewelry, featured 23 jewelry and watch categories.

The piece that stood out in the eyes of the event’s prestigious jury in the Best Theme Jewelry category was the “Space Conquest Eternity Bracelet” a “futuristic” piece that features a miniature spaceship suspended over a “lunar landscape” under the glass dome of the bracelet. The spaceship is crafted from white gold and stainless steel sourced from the NASA Discovery Space Shuttle that traveled to space in 1992, with touches of fiery orange sapphire. Labradorite, fragments of volcanic-stone meteorites, peridots, and black diamonds make up the precious landscape. The exquisite piece took 786 days to craft.

Additionally, Qannati Objet d’Art was recognized at the same event, as one of the Middle East’s top three watch brands in the “Best Independent Watch Brand” category. That is a resounding endorsement by industry peers, and an absolute achievement for a new brand that has only just emerged on the global landscape of luxury watches and jewelry.

The Arab region, particularly Saudi Arabia, has long been renowned for its warmth and welcoming nature. The idea behind His Royal Highness’ vision was to communicate the tale of this rich culture of the kingdom. At Boutique Group we aim to develop, manage, and operate historical and cultural palaces in the Kingdom and transform them into ultra-luxury boutique hotels to revive the vibrant national heritage with the authentic culture of the Kingdom, and provide an exceptional and unique hospitality experience.

What differentiates Boutique Group’s hotels from other luxury accommodations in Saudi Arabia, and how do you maintain a unique identity across your properties?

Our properties at Boutique Group are more than just buildings; they hold history and stories within their walls. Take for instance The Red Palace which has hosted a variety of state receptions and celebrations throughout its existence. We are proud to be turning it into a state-of-the-art hotel, preserving

its historical structure for future generations to enjoy.

AlHamra Palace is another example of a property that has hosted some of the most prominent public figures from around the world. Our goal is to take our guests back in time to witness the same treatment of royalty and hospitality, offering them a one-of-a-kind experience that they will never forget.

By being engaged with the business community, we can better cater towards their needs from a B2B perspective.

We understand the importance of staying relevant and competitive in a rapidly changing market. To achieve this, we are constantly

adapting to cost changes, such as increased rent and services due to the growing population. By staying ahead of these changes and adapting our strategies accordingly, we can continue to provide our guests with high-quality service and exceptional experience.

How do you stay informed about industry trends and developments, and how would you apply that knowledge to drive innovation within Boutique Group?

It’s important to identify challenges and opportunities. When it comes to the massive growth of the

hospitality and tourism scene in Saudi Arabia, this is a challenge disguised as an opportunity. We work very closely with the Ministry of Tourism to understand the projected and current tourism statistics to manage and plan capacities as best we can. Looking at last year for example, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Tourism reported that a total of 93.5 million domestic and international tourists spent more than $49 billion in the country, with the tourism sector accounting for 3.2 percent of the GDP.

What is your leadership style, and how would you motivate and inspire the employees at Boutique Group to achieve their best performance?

I personally believe in empowering our team members to make decisions that enhance the success and progress. I understand that confidence comes from trust, and

I strive to build a culture of trust and empowerment that enables our team members to take ownership of their roles and responsibilities. As a leader working outside of your territory or home country, I also believe that it’s important to embrace the local culture and connect with the land. By respecting local traditions and staying educated about different perspectives, we can gain a deeper understanding of the community and create a more authentic experience.

Looking ahead, what are your future plans and goals and how do you envision the company’s expansion and development in the coming years?

At Boutique Group, we have an unwavering commitment to providing our guests with a truly exceptional and unforgettable experience. Our focus for the coming years is to finalize all our ongoing projects and ensure that they meet our high standards of perfection.

How did you first become interested in playing the piano and what drew you to this instrument?

Franz Liszt’s composition “La Campanella”, was the piece that captivated my heart and soul at the age of 7. I heard L Campanella in a film that was randomly on TV, and I won’t forget that moment, I remember losing sense of everything around me in that room except that sound playing in the film. It was classy, sensational, and beautiful in every way. Shortly after that, I traveled to Europe, and started gathering as many music books as I could and began reading and teaching myself. At that time, there was no available channels to learn from; yet books taught me more than a short video would, and I’m grateful for that knowledgeable journey.

Who are some of your biggest musical influences and how have they shaped your playing style?

Fredrick Chopin has always been my inspiration. He is one of the greatest masters and composers of the Romantic Era. His compositions include Sonatas, Mazurkas, Waltzes, Nocturnes, Impromptus, and many other pieces. While his music style is romantic, yet it’s expressive and innovative; it is fascinating to listen to, even more to play. I am also

inspired by Johan Sebastian Bach, Beethoven, Franz Liszt, Mozart and Brahms. Through continuous listening to their masterpieces, you begin to understand the emotions they had while composing, and in other times, their compositions help you connect your to your own.

Can you tell the reason you are interested in classical music in specific?

Classical music played a major factor in the evolution of music and its genres across decades. I strongly believe learning is a journey that requires going back to the roots and understanding and learning of history and theory. Being a performer is great, but being a performer and

a great musician is a whole other level. I will always cherish classical music, not just for the beauty of it, but also for its major role in the music evolution which will always remain undeniable.

How does your passion for cars intersect with your passion for music, and do you see any connections between the two?

Being an artist is not limited to your field of profession. If you take a closer look at cars, it is by far one of the most beautiful machines to roam on earth; with their unique models, designs, colors, engines, and ability. If Music gives us the freedom to express feelings and


emotions, cars disconnect us from the confines of our bodies to a new world full of adventure, excitement, and freedom. Especially when involved in car racing of any kind, I’m sure that cars experts can’t agree more. Yet, music remains my favorite kind of adrenaline.

What advice would you give to young people who are interested in pursuing a career in music or in the automotive industry?

Patience comes at the top of the list. Learning music takes a lot of effort and time; to also determining what kind of a musician you would like to be, whether a Pianist, a Violinist, A Composer, a Music Conductor, Orchestrator or maybe even just playing as a hobby in your free time. Exploring, listening, learning, failing, then learning again; are very important steps to becoming a real artist, not giving up is the key. Understanding and learning music helps remove that shallow layer, where you begin to understand the story and the brilliance that is underneath each composition, Of course, that is a skill that we develop through years of practicing. There are no limits to knowledge, the more you learn, the more there is to learn.

The automotive industry is exciting! Becoming a skilled driver requires tremendous amount of skill and courage. Experts in the automotive field may provide the right technical tips, as for my personal tips, a passion towards anything with the right guidance will always lead to great results.

Can you tell us about any particularly memorable performances or experiences you’ve had in your career as a pianist?

Before sharing my music on social media in 2017, I got a call from a friend who asked me straight if I would like to perform with the Orchestra of William Ross. That was unexpected! William Ross is a prolific award-winning composer and arranger whose work has spanned feature films, the recording industry and television, which would be an honor to meet and even

play with. And of course, I agreed without hesitation. The next day, I got a call from William Ross himself. His encouraging and positive words about my skills meant more than I can put into words, especially since he was the first composer that I got to share my work with, and not just any composer. He encouraged me like no other and played a major role in my development as an artist.

I was very fortunate to play his compositions along with his talented team of musicians. That was my first show with a full Orchestra on

stage. And I learned that being an artist isn’t about playing a few notes on a keyboard, it’s much more than that. If your music won’t make you a better person, you might need to rethink why you are pursuing it.

What are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced as a female musician and car enthusiast in Saudi Arabia, and how have you overcome them?

After many years of practicing, learning, and growing, I can honestly say that the only challenge

anyone could face is him/herself. It won’t matter where you come from, where you love, or your gender. If you really want to pursue something, you will always find a way to achieve it. The challenge is a part of the journey, overcoming it with grace and confidence will get you to your desired destiny.

What are your plans or goals for the future, both in terms of your music and your automotive interests?

It would be my absolute pleasure to support young talents to grow

in their music careers. We have a bright future for young talents, and I’m positive they will become worldwide top musicians in the future. And as for my automotive interest, I’m planning to take on several thrilling driving experiences around the world. Porsche Ice Experience that I have applied to and looking forward to it!

Can you describe how you first got the opportunity to perform with Alicia Keys, and what was going through your mind when you found out you would be sharing the stage with her?

The Royal Commission of Al Ula reached out and presented this great opportunity. I grew up listening to Alicia Keys music. In addition to being an amazing singer and songwriter; she is an incredible pianist. It is an honor to have met her and shared a stage together.

What was it like working with Alicia Keys, and what did you learn from collaborating with her and how did it impact your career as a musician and your profile in the music industry?

Working with Alicia Keys is an experience many musicians would be thrilled to have. While the audience only watch the final show, the backstage is filled with different challenges. Her guidance during rehearsals were marvelous. Alicia, her family, and her team were amazing throughout the event and backstage. Couldn’t be more grateful for this wonderful opportunity.

What inspired you to pursue a career in the hospitality industry, and how did you get started in this field?

While initially planning to join the Navy, my career path took an unexpected turn due to the influence of my close friends’ deep fascination with the hospitality industry. This ignited the curiosity within me, prompting me to explore this field further.

As I progressed in my hospitality studies, I sought out internships and positions in hotels to complement my academic learning. These experiences allowed me to immerse myself in the fast-paced environment of the hospitality industry, and I have then grown to love the intricacies of providing exceptional experiences to guests.

Lastly, I am also inspired by the constant interaction with a diverse guests and colleagues profile we have, and the thrill of experiencing a unique day each time.

Can you share some of your career highlights and accomplishments, and how have they contributed to your success as a general manager?

I take great pride in mentoring and coaching my colleagues and guiding them on their professional journeys within the industry. It is my way of giving back for being extended the opportunity to grow my career within Jumeirah Group, working in four beautiful hotels of the group.

I had the opportunity to lead as the General Manager of Jumeirah Emirates Towers at the age of 36, making me one of the youngest individuals in this position within the group.

Witnessing the growth and development of my colleagues alongside me brings me immense satisfaction.

Another highlight of my career was being part of the team navigating through the challenging times of the pandemic. Despite the difficulties, we stood strong and emerged as one of the brands that demonstrated resilience and successful recovery.

Lastly, I hold my experiences of working on special projects for the group close to my heart, particularly my involvement in the pre-opening of Jumeirah Nanjing, one of our prominent properties in China. Additionally, I had the privilege of serving as the General Manager during the opening of Jumeirah Living World Trade Centre, even amidst the challenges posed by the pandemic. Participating in a task force for this endeavour was a significant achievement, allowing me to contribute to the successful launch of such a key establishment.

How do you ensure that the guest experience is always a top priority, and what steps do you take to continuously improve it?

At Jumeirah Emirates Towers, providing an exceptional guest experience is our utmost priority. We achieve this by adopting a customer-centric approach, with focus on attentiveness to each guest’s preferences, taking the time to understand and remember them. Additionally, we strive to create moments of surprise and delight throughout their stay. This could involve small gestures like personalised, hand-written notes to wish them luck or arranging celebratory cakes to mark their achievements and milestones. These thoughtful

To ensure memorable guest experiences, we have implemented an internal strategy that empowers our colleagues to excel. What role does technology play in the hospitality industry, and how do you leverage it to enhance the guest experience and improve operational efficiency?

Various touchpoints of our guest experiences have been recently enhanced by technology and we intend to

utilize it more to further elevate our guest experience. Examples would be our seamless hotel booking platforms allowing guests to secure their stay through online channels.

Technology has also paved the way to one of our most successful guests stay feature – the E-Butler programme - where we take pride in our response time of less than 30 seconds to all in-house guest requests received via our portal.

In terms of our operational efficiency, our property management systems (PMS), point-of-sale (POS) systems, and inventory management software streamline our operations, reduce manual work and enhance efficiency. Automation in areas like housekeeping, maintenance, and colleague scheduling also further improves operational efficiency. These tools also enable a heightened level of personalised experiences tailormade to each guest preference.

Our property has also recently launched the mobile check-in process, designed in partnership with Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET). The


biometric and digital technology solution significantly shortens the check-in process and provides further ease and convenience to our guests.

Lastly, our investments in technology have allowed us to implement a robust and sophisticated data protection system. This system ensures the security and confidentiality of valuable guest details, including their preferences, within our company.

Mercedes-Maybach enriches the dynamic purpose design of the EQS SUV from Mercedes-EQ with exclusive elements that give it its very own character. The Mercedes star sits enthroned on the hood, defining the status. The front is characterised by the brand-typical black panel with vertical, chrome-plated trim strips in a three-dimensional depth look. The large black panel is smoothly closed for the first time. The high-tech element for the radar sensors is fully integrated and no longer visible. Chrome-plated, filigree slats can also be found on the air intake of the bumper. The classic MAYBACH lettering is discreetly incorporated into a chrome-plated decorative strip, which forms a unit with the continuous light strip of the standard DIGITAL LIGHT headlights. The Maybach pattern with several small brand emblems can also be found in trim parts of the side bumper. DIGITAL LIGHT welcomes and says goodbye to the driver with a special light show. As a further greeting, an animated projection of the Maybach pattern shines in all four doors.


When viewed from the side, specific features include the bold chrome surrounds on the side windows and the chrome-plated B-pillar trim. This decorative element is an integral part of the Mercedes-Maybach signature and highlights the length of the rear seating area. A Maybach emblem on the D-pillar underlines the high quality. The lettering EQS is subtly integrated into the front window triangle. The pronounced wheel arches with claddings in high-gloss black emphasise the SUV’s power and emotional presence. Appropriately, the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV rolls on exclusive 21 or 22-inch alloy and forged wheels. The MAYBACH lettering can be found on the integrated, exquisitely designed wheel hub caps. Another eye-catcher is the standard running boards, which are illuminated in the dark. The treads are made of anodised aluminium, which echoes the pinstripe look of the black panel front. The Maybach emblem is also stylishly integrated here.

At the rear, the rear lights underline the exclusive character as a continuous light strip with a two-part helix. The lights are animated across the entire width. There are also chrome trim elements on the tailgate, on the rear apron, and on the spoiler lip, as well as the MAYBACH lettering.

The special appearance of the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV also includes the brand-typical two-tone paintwork with a filigree pinstripe. It is applied by hand according to the highest quality criteria and is available in five color combinations: high-tech silver/obsidian black, high-tech silver/nautical blue, obsidian black/ selenite grey, obsidian black/Kalahari gold, and velvet brown/onyx black.

The interior design: The Fusion of tradition and avant-garde

The design of the interior also consistently follows the Maybach credo “What is good must also be beautiful”. A highlight for the front passengers is the standard MBUX Hyperscreen with “zero layer” and Mercedes-Maybach-specific start-up animations on all three displays. The overall visual appearance is specially designed for the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV in an elegant deep blue. The numerous exclusive features include the animated display of the instrument cluster in “MAYBACH” mode. The pointers in the two tubes are designed like a silk scarf that moves elegantly in the wind according to the speed and driving style. At the same time, the digits change their size and are dynamically faded in or out. The surrounds for the round instruments are in rose gold, which is typical of the brand. An alternative display form to the tubes is the sporty “Pure EV” style. A three-dimensional performance bar conveys the respective driving status (driving, accelerating, charging).

The central display starts with the familiar home screen and the so-called “zero layer”. In this basic setting, the navigation map dominates. The driver can carry out 80 percent of the most common interactions directly without changing the application. The system reacts situationally and is personalised with intelligent suggestions and forward-looking offers.

The functional content and operating structure of all three displays correspond to those of the EQS SUV from Mercedes-EQ. The appearance can be custom-

ised with three display styles (discreet, sporty, MAYBACH) and three modes (navigation, assistance, and service). In the discreet style, the content is reduced as much as possible and harmoniously coordinated with the colour change of the selected ambient lighting.

The rear passengers experience the same extensive range of infotainment and comfort features with two 11.6-inch displays on the backrests of the front seats. With the standard MBUX High-End Rear Seat Entertainment, content can be shared quickly and easily on various displays. It is also possible to select and modify the navigation destinations from the rear seats. The standard equipment also includes the MBUX rear tablet, which can also be used outside the vehicle, and the MBUX Interior Assist. With the help of cameras, it can recognise the operating requests of the passengers from body and hand movements and carry out the corresponding functions – for example, switching on the reading lights.

This morning, at its Livorno yard, Benetti launched the new mega yacht built for an owner couple with very clear ideas: to transform this 67-meter vessel into their new home, taking advantage of valuable input from the yard, with Cassetta Yacht Designers for the exterior concept and the outstanding original touch of the owner herself, an experienced interior designer, in her own area of expertise.

The design of FB285NK is inspired by a combination of passion for the sea, refined aesthetic taste and, most importantly, understanding. Understanding between the owner couple, the Benetti shipyard and the architects, whose expertise translated the owners’ aspirations and desires onto paper.

In this new adventure, the soul of the project, with exteriors by Cassetta Yacht Designers and interiors by the owner herself, lies in this being a totally custom 67-meter yacht, with the owner playing an important role in the choice of style and interior decor, the wood selection, and the layout of the spaces. Drawing on her experience as a designer in the luxury real estate business, the owner was involved in the project right from the design phase when, together with the yard and the designers,


she outlined a boat that behind the traditional lines and layout reveals a whole host of ingenious solutions for life on the water.

This is because FB285NK is now the owner couple’s new home, an elegant and refined beach house with a breath-taking view and fully appointed with every comfort for spending the day in complete relaxation, tranquillity, peace and quiet. To ensure better service on board, the owners decided to reduce the number of cabins to only five, fewer than any other yacht this size.

A sense of wonder hits you like a blast when you enter the lounge on the Main Deck. The space between the hull sides is over ten meters wide while the large windows contribute to the overall elegance of the architecture and give an even more fluid feel to the design, which floods the interior with natural light through the circular side windows.

Almost 2 meters in diameter, their effect is spectacular, becoming a signature feature of the yacht’s

silhouette and filling the interiors with light, from the generous main lounge to the cabins on the Lower Deck. Aesthetically original, they please the eye with their feeling of modernity and luminosity and give the yacht’s design a distinctive look. They were strongly desired by the owner, who wanted to establish a connection between the interiors and the natural environment by framing the beauty of the scenery outside. Designed as a beautiful and luxurious residence on the water, it was essential for the design to include a constant reminder of the natural environment around the yacht.

FB285NK is also a triumph of FSC®-certified teak, used extensively for the decks, doors, pillars and furniture, in a perfect combination of colours with the chromatism of the steel elements and the paint coating the hull. FSC® certification is a guarantee that the teak used for the flooring is sourced from responsibly managed forests with a planned cycle of environmentally sustainable tree harvesting and replanting.



The yard owned and managed by Ugo Pellegrino returns to the Venice Boat Show – from May 31st to June 4th – in collaboration with dealer Blu Yachts, Brand Representative for the Adriatic, with one of its most successful models, Sherpa 80. Ideal for cruising in the utmost privacy and comfort, this 24-metre yacht is characterised by its generous windows, large solar panels and seamless continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces, all strong points in the brand’s design philosophy.

The Venice Boat Show comes, for Arcadia, after months of important sales and deliveries, with two boats destined for the Turkish market soon to be delivered.

Given its success here in 2022, Arcadia Yachts has decided to return and take part in this year’s event too, the fourth Venice Boat Show held at the city’s Arsenale venue from May 31st to June 4th. Staged in a 55,000 m² dock with over 1,100 linear metres of landing stages, the show has proved very effective because its visitors differ from and are in a certain sense complementary to those


who flock to the autumn events. “It’s partly down to our participation in the main boat shows in our sector that the yard is doing such good business at the moment, with the entire range currently in production, the recent sale of an A105, five launches planned for the coming weeks, and the launch of the first unit of the new A96s that will open a new era for the brand,”

commented Arcadia Yachts’ CEO and founder Ugo Pellegrino.

The Yard is attending the show in partnership with Blu Yachts, Brand Representative for the Adriatic, and showcasing its Sherpa 80. With a length of 24 meters and a beam of around 7 meters, this yacht offers a total of 220 square meters of liveable indoor and outdoor spaces.

The unmediated relationship with the sea and surrounding environment – one of the hallmarks of the Yard’s design philosophy from the outset – is particularly intense in the cockpit, which is directly connected to the stern platform by an elegant series of steps set into the thin bulkheads on either side of the low-set sun pad. The cockpit covering almost 65 m² is uncluttered

and available throughout day thanks to the decision to position the lateral garage (for a tender up to 4 m long) forward of the engine room.

A strong interplay with the surrounding environment is a feature of the interior design too, characterised by sophisticated furnishings in an essential, uncomplicated style in which simple geometries amplify the volumes, making the most of available space and offering every possible comfort for life at sea. The use of avant-garde materials has also made it possible to significantly reduce the overall weight.

In the best tradition of the Yard, the hull and propulsion system were designed in parallel to optimise performance in terms of both consumption and comfort. Sherpa 80 has a top speed of over 23 knots and a range of 1,400 nautical miles at 10 knots. To minimise the environmental impact of the boat, like all the brand’s models, it is fitted with solar panels that provide around 2-3 kW of clean energy (enough to power the yacht’s main hospitality services), as well as with low-power devices and LED lighting.

Arcadia Yachts was founded in 2008 by Ugo Pellegrino and is based on the Sorrento coast, near Capri and just a few kilometres from the Pompei Archaeological Park, in a modern 47,000-square-metre facility where the company builds

yachts with green credentials and an unmistakable style synonymous with innovation, excellence and Italian design. The design features a fully handcrafted veil and dress, flourishing through 3-D ornaments with a mix of silk, metallic threads and traditional reed strings. 7 starts are exclusively present on the veil, symbolizing the 7-pointed Jordanian star.

The veil was accomplished in a record time of approximately 760 hours with a gathered team of experts, craftsman and women, bringing to life 10 meters of fully handcrafted tulle for the occasion, a process that would generally take about 2,000 hours of work. While the dress was completed over 340 hours of dedicated work, from start to actual realization.

The world’s best polo players compete at the Souissi Royal Guard Polo Club in Rabat and at the PGH la Palmeraie polo club Assilah from May 22 to 27 for the prestigious Mohammed V International Trophy. the national team to its counterpart from Argentina and ended in victory for the nationals (9-3). The matches for third place and the final will take place at the Royal Guard Polo Club Souissi in Rabat.
