TAURUS (Apr.
21-May 20)
A new solution could arise when it comes to something you thought was important but hasn’t worked out as you imagined. More available information could start to uncover where there might be difficulties or details that were missed in some way. The most important thing is to get it right and take whatever time necessary to do that.
LEO (July 23-August 22)
You might need to accept that what is important to somebody else is not something you consider worthwhile. In some ways you may not be able to understand their way of thinking, especially if their attitude is passive. It can make you realise that you should not try to put forward your ideas but just leave them to their own decisions.
SCORPIO (Oct.23-Nov21)
Some challenges might arise with something that seemed relatively easy to put in place last week. You may now recognise the manner in which any commitments attached could bite into time you like to have available for relaxation and enjoyment. Ways around this could eventually become evident. There is no rush.
GEMINI
(May 21-June 20)
Avoid any temptation to spend money on impulse, especially if it is new and you expect to enjoy it. The novelty could wear off quicker than you expect or if it is something that requires you to commit time to it, then other things could get in the way. There is greater value spending on what might seem more boring things in life.
VIRGO
(August 23-Sept.22)
If someone else is in a position to put in a good word for you or to help you out, don’t hold back in requesting them to do so. They might also have some helpful suggestions that you are reluctant to pursue. Their view of things can be better than yours so it could be to your benefit to take their advice on board. Try it.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov.22-Dec.21)
Mixed messages from somebody else can encourage you to rethink what would be a more stable situation in the long term. You will have no interest to maintain conditions that become uncertain. This could bring about a major shift that you were not expecting when it comes to what have been important priorities in life.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb.18) PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)
New opportunities for the future could suddenly emerge. It is important you maintain a practical approach when it comes to finances and stay within the limits of what you can afford. This would be best worked out by looking at everyday expenses that need to be covered and what you have to play with outside of that.
CANCER (June 21
-July 22)
You could recognise that something is not going to stay the same way next year as it exists right now. You are probably right but exactly the decisions that will need to be made will not be entirely clear right now. Things are likely to happen in stages, so make decisions as matters come out into the open and can be seen.
LIBRA
(Sept. 23-Oct.22)
The Solar Eclipse this week occurs in your sign. This can result in new beginnings in your life over the next 6 months. For some there can be work changes and others can experience altered responsibilities. These things can come in stages, may have some holdups later in the year and then settle down in the early part of next year.
CAPRICORN
(Dec. 22-Jan.19)
You could recognise that somebody else needs to let go in some way and that this is something they need to experience. It is not up to you to take on obligations to try and make it easier for them. This can be as much a lesson to you to stay focussed on your own priorities that are connected to the things that you enjoy in your life.
ARIES (March 21-April 20)
Stay focussed on what you can control while maintaining a positive outlook to what you want to bring into balance over the long term. Not knowing the exact position of somebody else and their intentions could be unsettling. Don’t try and work them out. It will only take you off track with your own matters. Put them to one side.
You might need to contend with varying opinions when it comes to what needs to be let go in order to put a better structure in place. This may not get fully sorted until early next year, so I wouldn’t get too worried if there seems to be no real solution that you feel entirely happy about. See what unfolds as time goes on.
A Word of Thank You
The men and women of the RCMP in BC take great pride in providing professional service to the communities they serve. It is reassuring for them to hear that they have made a difference in someone's life. If you have had a good experience with one of our RCMP members, units or detachments, we encourage you to email us about it in the official language of your choice at BCRCMP-GRCENCB@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
Sayward, 2024-09-06
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing today to commend two RCMP officers, Officer Howse and Officer Cada, for their exceptional service on the afternoon of July 17th, when my partner, LM, and I found ourselves stranded north of Sayward.
We are both 69 years old and seasoned campers with many years of experience on Vancouver Island. However, this was our inaugural camping trip with a new to us truck and camper. Unfortunately, despite our planning, we ran out of gas just before reaching Sayward. To make matters more challenging, we were in a zone with no cellular service and were unable to contact BCAA for assistance.
Earlier, we had passed Officer Howse as he had stopped a speeding car, and we hoped to flag him down for help as he continued south
on Highway 19. To our great relief, he came by less than 10 minutes later. Officer Howse not only arranged for us to get a Jerry can of gas, but he also stayed with us until his partner, Officer Cada, arrived to assist.
During our 1/2 hour together, Officer Howse was genuinely interested in our situation and ensured that we were safe and away from potential danger on the side of the road. My partner had the opportunity to share stories with Officer Howse about their mutual experiences traveling by motorcycle throughout BC, which added a personal and comforting touch to the encounter.
What initially seemed like a worrisome situation turned into one of the highlights of our camping trip to Cluxewe, thanks to the kindness and professionalism of these two officers. Their actions left a lasting impression on us, and we now look back on this incident with gratitude.
We have the utmost respect and regard for Officers Howse and Cada and the way they represented the RCMP. We kindly request that you convey our deepest appreciation to them. Please feel free to share our names and the details of this event with them.
Sincerest regards,
JW - Courtenay, BC LM - Quadra Island, BC
