So many children have seen Santa in Houston, given him their Christmas lists, had their pictures taken, grown up, and some have even brought their own kids to see him. We've waved in parades, participated in light ups, read stories, weathered the pandemic in safe and creative ways, sent out personalized messages, interacted with so many kids in town at the light up and in visits to the schools, taken photos at the mall, Home Hardware, the fire hall, the plaza. With your help we've donated hundreds of pounds of food & turkeys to the local food bank, and supported other local charities. So many beautiful memories

With all those memories in mind we are making the announcement that the Houston Santa we know and love will NOT be returning this year. He has passed on his suit and is hanging up his hat. So to all of you that have supported us throughout the years we say thank you and farewell. And a very Merry Christmas. Love Santa and Mrs. Claus (Jason & Laura Onderwater) Enjoy the photos I managed to find...in no particular order, from previous years

Please feel free to share your favourite Santa story here as well as a picture! We'd love to see them! There will be an appearance by a "new" Santa at the light up on Nov 24th!

otherwise it may not dry completely. The fruit must be 100% dehydrated to prevent mold growth once it is jarred up! Turn your oven to its lowest temperature, and dehydrate the fruit & herbs for 6-8 hours (Maybe even a bit longer if you have a lot of fruit or fruit that contains more moisture!). Make sure the fruit is 100% dry because mold can grow if there is moisture still present.

Remove from the oven, and save until you are ready to assemble the jars. You can expect the listed ingredients to make about 5 jars (possibly 6). I like to add 3 cinnamon sticks in each jar combined with dried herbs and the other ingredients! Place a varying amount of dried fruit, herbs, cinnamon sticks, and spices into small glass jars until full. Enjoy gifting these to neighbors and friends! So for all those families with real Christmas trees..... Learn something interesting from a farmer and his wife. Before watering your tree......boil the water first, let stand for 5 minutes and then water tree! This with keep the sap from getting hard and allow for the water to go up the bark! Cold water clogs the openings with the sap and your tree will die much quicker! Enjoy your tree well into the new year!! 20
