Love In Full Bloom

Flowers are a key component of any special event and one of the first things guests notice. They set the mood with their beauty, color, elegance, and style… and will likely be in nearly every photo of the big event!

Arrangements and Centerpieces

With flowers in all shapes, sizes and colors, there is no limit as to what can be done. From simple, minimal arrangements, to unique flower & fruit centerpieces, or extravagant floral designs, there is something for every style and budget. A centerpiece or small bouquet should be on every table, and arrangements displayed in the foyer, the ceremony area and also the restrooms.

Traditional glass vases are giving way to more creative options for centerpiece vessels. Rustic baskets, wooden crates and decorative ceramic or pewter urns bring an element of style that adds to the overall look and theme of the affair.

Types of flowers should also be considered depending on the time of year the wedding is taking place. Dried and unusual flowers are suitable for both vintage and modern weddings. Less structured arrangements that incorporate dried blooms and natural elements like seed pods, dried grasses and other lasting botanicals can make for some pretty wow-worthy wedding décor.

Arbors & Arches

While many couples conduct their wedding ceremony in places of worship, plenty of couples are choosing to publicly declare their love and commitment to each other outdoors beneath some type of decorated structure. These structures are commonly referred to as arbors, arches, or chuppahs. Available in a variety of shapes and sizes, arbors transform any beach, backyard, park or garden into a perfect spot to tie the knot.

Circular arches or hoops, also known as moon gates, are growing in popularity. History states they were believed to offer good fortune to those who passed through them. A traditional architectural element in Chinese gardens, English gardeners borrowed the design from China in the late 19th century, and American gardeners quickly followed suit. If you are using a moon gate as a backdrop for your ceremony, be sure to walk through it for good luck!

Although the different types of structures have both cultural and religious significance, they also serve as the décor for Mother Nature’s landscape. A beautiful arbor can define an outdoor ceremony, and serve as an excellent photo backdrop. With the addition of flowers, fabrics and decor, arches can become part of your theme, not to mention a gorgeous place to exchange vows at the end of your aisle.

Bridal Bouquets

The practice of brides carrying bouquets dates back to ancient times. Brides carried fragrant herbs & spices tied together with ivy - the herbs were to ward off bad luck; the ivy represented an unbreakable bond.

Fast forward to 2023, the bouquet has evolved into much more than a banisher of bad luck; it is more than something to keep the bride's hands from fidgeting as she walks down the aisle; the bridal bouquet is the beautiful accessory that ties together the fashion, design and décor of the wedding. Evolution at its finest.

Traditional, cascading, minimal, or loose & wispy, the bridal bouquet is created based on personal preference and personality. Regardless of the bouquet style, it is important to balance the size, color, and types of flowers used. The size of the bouquet should be proportionate to the size of the bride, and the flowers should mirror the colors and theme of the wedding.

Not all brides are bouquet carriers; some opt to buck tradition and brave the aisle sans a bouquet. Carrying lanterns, baskets or floral wreaths are creative alternatives. Moreover, it’s becoming rather popular to see dog-owning brides hold a single bloom in one hand and the leash to her best (and formally dressed) furry friend in the other.

Greenery & Garland

Fresh or faux garland and greens can frame and define a space. They will brighten and totally transform any room or area when dressed with string lights. Round bistro light bulbs create a modern farmhouse vibe and are excellent for illuminating a dark area; traditional string lights add just the right amount of twinkle to make a space romantic.

Hair Flowers

Brides, bridesmaids, flower girls, and even pets look beautiful adorned in a halo of fresh or faux blossoms. Colorful, oversized dahlias are perfect for a bright and majestic flower crown, while a single rose paired with sprigs of baby’s breath can add just the right touch of romance.
