Overwashing may be the most common offense to hair. It strips hair’s natural oils, which in turn can actually make hair greasy because the scalp may overproduce oil in attempt to replace what’s been stripped. “We recommend washing your hair every 3-4 days and using a dry shampoo in between washes if needed,” stated Jen. Choose quality. Cheap products and hair dryers that dry out your hair are some of the worst things to use on your hair. Ingredients in your hair care products matter. It’s important to know what you’re washing your locks with because they can cause irritation, buildup, or strip color from color-treated hair. “Always choose color-safe products to keep newly applied color looking fabulous. There are a lot of products on the market,” Jenn commented, “we use only high quality shampoos and conditioners at our salon, all color safe, so they will not strip any newly applied hair color. All our hair care products are professionally graded, as well as our brushes and hair dryers, to help keep hair shiny and healthy.” Regular maintenance is one of the best things you can do for beautiful hair. Hairstyles can lose their shape and look sloppy if not properly kept up with. Trimming split ends is a must – especially if your hair is long.
