1. Fringe leather bolo tie I highly recommend this handmade fringe tie from a designer friend of mine. It’s worn just like a bowtie.

2. Hand-painted leather shoes These are Hong Kong’s first handpainted and handmade leather shoes, designed by Hong Kong-based designer Simon Tang, of SAPH+ (saphplus.wix. com). I like the fact that he has many colors available for customization. My pick is this pair with black and silver splash patterns. You can tell him where to splash the ink to your liking or you can do it yourself. Even the shoelaces are from Italy. I would wear them with a cropped harem pant and a plain shirt.

3. Yeung Chin asymmetric clutch This is our handmade clutch with an asymmetric shape. We chose to use raw leather, which is easy to match. It’s a favorite of people who like dressing only in monochrome.

4. Tenny Lo x Yeung Chin John Lennon shirt This shirt was done in collaboration with illustrator Tenny Lo. I helped make the print. He drew a few famous singers, like John Lennon, Grace Jones and Madonna, all of whom I love. Irregular lines are formed while it’s printed, together with some wrinkles—it looks raw but it’s a well-drawn piece. It’s easy to match with loose harem pants for men and leggings for women.

5. Harness belt This is my most recent favorite from my favorite designer—Designer Yan Man mainly sells her works on Facebook or through handicraft markets. She takes inspiration from S&M, but it doesn’t look too bondage-like to me—it’s beautiful indeed. It matches nicely with a white shirt and baggy pants, or it’s also good with skirts for women, giving a tough feeling.

BEAUTY & WELLNESS Your guide to looking fit and fabulous TRIED & TESTED

Tried & Tested: Mindful Wing Chun The Test Subject: Adrienne Chum The Basics: Situated in the heart of Lan Kwai Fong, Mindful Wing Chun is a cozy martial arts studio that hosts classes for all ages and levels of experience. Besides conditioning the body through physical training, they also teach the importance of deep relaxation and mental strength through martial arts. Their private lessons start at $700 per 50-minute class, and group lessons start from $1,300 per month for unlimited sessions. The Experience: After watching the new Ip Man movie and making another new year’s resolution to get fit, we gave this martial arts studio a try. Sebastian, an instructor with a background in boxing and a bit of karate, brought us to the back of the studio and taught us about proper posture. He brought to our attention important details like the direction of our feet and the angle of our arm, explaining how to remedy each little thing. We discovered that turning our toes slightly inward actually gave us more power and balance: Though my test partner was larger than me, I was able to resist falling over when pushed, simply because of the way we were taught to stand. We also tried a few relaxed punches as well, and Sebastian demonstrated how they could actually be more effective than a wound-up hook. We were constantly reminded not to tense up. This was probably the most difficult part, because we had trouble associating self-defense with calm relaxation. Eventually we got the hang of it and were able to apply a fair amount of force without getting our entire bodies involved. The Takeaway: I only spent a little more than an hour at Mindful Wing Chun, but felt like I learned a lot from the experience. They taught not just the basic stances and movements, but also explained it all in an easy-to-follow manner. It’s a fun, easygoing way to stay in shape and learn something new, and you might even make a few friends out of it, too. 8/F On Lan Centre, 11-15 On Lan St., Central, 6620-7050, mindfulwingchun.com.hk

In the Nude New to Hong Kong and just launched at T Galleria by DFS is Nudestix, created by a Canadian mother and daughter trio who wanted to create everyday makeup that enhanced natural features, and were good for the skin to boot (they don’t contain preservatives or animal-derived ingredients and are even gluten-free). The brand’s new Intense Matte Color Lip+Cheek pencils are made with a waterproof (and kiss-proof), long-wearing formula, but glide on surprisingly easily and don’t budge for hours on end. They also double as blush! $186 from T Galleria by DFS, Hysan Place, 500 Hennessy Rd., Causeway Bay, 2239-6688

RECIPES

KISS THE COOK Monthly recipes from Mango Menus

This month we have a couple of recipes that pack heat for the spice lovers out there. First up is a tomato, ginger and chili jam, the ideal accompaniment to cheese, cold ham and chicken—not to mention it is the bomb in a sausage sandwich. Don’t be afraid to double the quantities as then you will have enough to give some to your friends, in true domestic goddess form! Then try our Bombay Mix salad, a quick starter or side dish inspired by Indian cuisine, combining quite simply a bag of Bombay snack mix with freshly chopped salad and herbs. It’s the perfect combination of crunch, freshness, zing and spice!

Tomato, Ginger and Chili Jam You’ll need:

5 garlic cloves, minced

Around 6 fresh medium tomatoes, chopped

5 red chilies (keep the seeds for extra spice!)

3 inch piece of ginger, peeled

2 tbsp fish sauce

¾ cup apple cider vinegar

1½ cups coconut sugar

1/3 cup raisins or sultanas

2 kaffir lime leaves

Method: 1. Mince your garlic then add it to the food

processor with half of the tomatoes, chilies (including the seeds), ginger and fish sauce. Purée until smooth. 2. Add the purée to a large saucepan with the

apple cider vinegar, coconut sugar, raisins and kaffir lime leaves. Bring to a boil. Add the rest of the chopped tomatoes for texture. 3. Once it has boiled, simmer it with the lid off for

40-60 minutes, until it thickens. Leave it a little runnier than you would like as it will thicken further in the jar. 4. Pour into jars then allow to cool before

refrigerating. Serve cold. 5. Makes around 2 jars which will keep for several

months in the fridge.

RECIPES

Bombay Mix Salad You’ll need:

1 cup of Bombay Mix

1 cup diced tomatoes

1 cup diced cucumber

1-2 tbsp chopped red onion

2 tbsp chopped coriander or mint (or both, depending on preference)

1 tbsp mango chutney

Method: 1. Simply combine the ingredients above in

a large bowl, but do ensure you make this immediately before serving to prevent it from going soggy. Serves 2-4 as a starter or side dish.

Masters of Fun To all “Amazing Race” addicts: We bet you’ve been itching to show off your scavenger hunt prowess in Hong Kong, and now you can with Game Masters HK. After starting out in college running games for their friends, the founders at Game Masters now create professional, customized games for kids, private parties, corporate clients, couples and more. You’ll be running around town on missions such as photo hunts, puzzles, cluefinding, riddle solving, and identifying hidden parts of a district. Those looking for some friendly competition can opt for Game Masters’ regular public games ($248 per person), or you can always shell out for a private game (from $300 per person). gamemastershk.com

All Thai’d Up If you’ve got little ones interested in punching out the stresses of school, why not give Muay Thai a spin? Traditionally thought of as an aggressive, high-impact adult’s martial art, the ancient combat sport gives tots a chance to hone their agility and strength—both important for growing bodies. At boutique studio Sitpinyo Muay Thai in Central, which opened last July, founder and trainer Gary Carter tells The List that the sport is becoming more and more popular with families—especially those with young children. The fully equipped gym brings in punching bags and gear directly from Thailand, and offers group classes Monday to Saturday (from $150 per session). Private group sessions can be arranged for families to cater to kids’ needs, and to strike a balance between discipline and fun. 4/F, Mainslit Building, 42-44 Stanley St. (Entrance on Pottinger St., behind one of the fancy dress stalls), Central, 9850-9825, sitpinyo.com

Seasoned players can play as long as they meet the handicap requirement (differs by day; check online to make sure), and there are classes specially tailored to children. There are various difficulty levels and even specific lessons dedicated to swinging, putting and more, so there’s something for everyone. We recommend the parent/junior lessons (from $870/hour) where you can play as a family. Kau Sai Chau, Sai Kung, New Territories, 2791-3388, kscgolf.org.hk

Mini Bangkok is one of the most famous restaurants among them. Its façade may look unremarkable, but the Thai dishes served inside are anything but. Try the tom yum soup and the green chicken curry. WOMEN IN FOCUS

THE LIST’S LEADING LADIES Melanie Barnish is the co-founder of Hong Kong’s premier juicery business: Genie Juicery. Together with her best friend and model Cara G. McIlroy, the Australian duo started their juicing business back in 2011. Kate Lok sits down with Barnish to talk about starting a business in a completely foreign place and how it compares to home.

MELANIE BARNISH

“Starting a business with my best friend has been the best thing ever.”

I’m from Australia. I grew up in Gold

I was working in Lai Chi Kok, where

Coast with a really healthy lifestyle, doing a lot of outdoorsy activities such as going on boat trips and spending time at the beach.

I had no access to healthy food except for Starbucks.

I studied fashion [there], and then

after university I moved to Hong Kong to start my own brand of footwear and handbags.

I was always travelling for work, and

just like everyone else in Hong Kong, I was overworked and always tired. Coming from Australia and knowing

what it feels like to have real, fresh food every day and how that makes your body feel, compared to working like crazy and having terrible Starbucks lunches everyday made me stop and re-think my whole lifestyle. My best friend Cara found herself in the same position. We both shared the same passion in a healthy lifestyle, so we started talking about plans to open a juice shop in Hong Kong. Here in Hong Kong you have to pay a fortune for fresh, healthy food. And the choices are very limited. Because we were going out and

socializing a lot back then, and wanted to find a way to cleanse and detox. By the end of 2011, we started Genie Juicery. Why our business works so well here

is because people don’t have time. In Australia they would have the time to go to the markets, buy their spinach and apples and juice it themselves. So many things have set me back over

the past 5 years. Patience is a big thing that I have

learned moving here to Hong Kong. Working with a Chinese company with

a totally different working culture, made me a lot more understanding. I have been living in Hong Kong for

9 years now. I met my husband here and I got married, and now I’m pregnant with twins. I’m very lucky that I found myself in this position, doing what I love and what I’m passionate about. I still hold on to that laid-back Aussie style in me despite moving into such a fast-paced city. I find that compensates the stressfulness and the uptightness. It doesn’t need to be like that. Starting a business with my best friend

has been the best thing ever. If I had to pick one meal to eat for the rest of my life, it would be salad. I love a good veggie salad with spinach, nuts, beetroot and hummus. I am not vegan. I’m a pescatarian.

I never used to have dairy products but now that I’m pregnant I do have dairy. Before that I would only have nut products, like nut milks and nut yoghurts. Sometimes, I go to sleep at around

8-9pm. People find that weird about me. That’s because I get up at around 5am in the morning. I like having quality time to myself, what I call my “Zen” time. The biggest lesson I’ve learned from starting my own business is how to treat people who work for you and keep them happy. It’s very important to us. A series of stories, recommendations and tips on Hong Kong from people in the know. Explore our city based on the travel experiences that interest you and get itineraries for off-the-beaten-path neighborhoods.

Spotlight on: Wan Chai Wan Chai has witnessed a rapid transformation over the past 150 years: from a mid-19th century fishing village into the buzzing social beacon of Hong Kong today. The district owes its bright lights and all-night entertainment to its maritime ties, being the destination of choice for wartime sailors. Although there’s a multitude of bars, restaurants and clubs to fill your night, there’s a lot more to Wan Chai that’s worth exploring, and whatever your inclination you’ll be sure to find something to suit your tastes

Soho

Sleepless City Hong Kong comes alive at night, abuzz with diners, revelers, theater goers and market traders still out plying their wares. The nightlife scene is rightly legendary: there is something to do at every time of the day in this city that never sleeps. The nightlife options are too numerous to mention, but below you’ll find just a sample of what’s on offer: from culture through to late-night party venues and midnight feasts. 24-Hour Fun So you’re after a good time? You’ve definitely come to the right city! Hong Kong boasts entertainment galore and most of it kicks off after sunset. Whether you’re after a classy cocktail in a trendy bar, live entertainment that beats through the night or a late night snack, Hong Kong is the city to oblige. Best Bar None If you’ve already heard of Hong Kong’s crazy all-night vibe, then it’s surely because of the sheer number of bars of all shapes and sizes. Most first-timers head straight to the thoroughfares of Lan Kwai Fong in Central, which are packed full of bars and nightclubs, with revelers spilling out onto the streets at all hours. However away from this main draw, lots of trendy niche bars are opening up for a slightly more cultural experience.

Billidart Bar & Restaurant

Something for Everyone For fascinating insights into Wan Chai’s community spirit, duck into House of Stories, a center that offers neighborhood tales and guided tours of Wan Chai’s historic streets. The district is preserving its historical and cultural character, with streets of old buildings being sympathetically redeveloped, such as Mallory Street, home to 60-yearold Ho Wah Cafe. Delicious Experiences Well into the early hours of the morning, Wan Chai residents can be found in one of the district’s many late-night restaurants. Joy Hing Roasted Meat is a time-honored

tradition, having been serving up Cantonese char siu (barbecue pork) since the end of the Qing dynasty. Meanwhile, hit Causeway Bay for amazing shopping no matter what the time of day, with shops often open past 10pm. Eslite Bookstore is a much-frequented evening spot, while a livelier time can be found along Lockhart or Jaffe Roads in Wan Chai, which are filled with bars and clubs such as Billidart Bar & Restaurant, an American-style sports bar. Head online to www.DiscoverHongKong.com/ InsidersGuide to create your personalized itinerary for Wan Chai.

Music Mecca Be sure to fill up on more than just cocktails at one of the city’s varied entertainment venues. Hong Kong has a happening live music scene, offering everything from Cantopop gigs to jazz recitals and karaoke. Full Cup Café is a hipster’s paradise, while the Fringe Club, one of the city’s foremost art spaces, has been providing a platform for artists since 1984. Their menu lists an extensive array of ingredients, ranging from seafood to cheese-filled fishballs to offal for more adventurous eaters. It’s perfect after a late night of drinks as well, as it’s open until about two in the morning with two branches in Mong Kok. Various locations including 33 Nelson St., Mong Kok, 2392-4966

Bindaas Opened at the tail end of 2015, modern Indian kitchen Bindaas is colloquial Hindi for “chilled out.” The eatery serves traditional street foods and Indian tapas with a twist. Apart from curries

and tikka masala, give the “Naanza” a spin—a cross between naan bread and pizza using Makhani tomato gravy. Their cocktails (Happy Hour is 5-9pm) also take inspiration from classic Indian drinks, such as the lassi-based Desi Lass ($85). Head to Bindaas on Tuesday nights to have your dinner along with a live acoustic band. Reservations recommended. LG/F, 33 Aberdeen St., Central, 2447-9998

Korean Garden Restaurant If you live or work around the Sheung Wan area but do not know of Korea Garden Restaurant, then shame on you. Tucked away on the first floor along Des Voeux Road, it’s one of the oldest traditional Korean restaurants that has remained in its spot since opening in Hong Kong. If you’re craving for a taste of home-style Korean cooking, Korean Garden is your spot: Expect your usual spicy banchan and hot soups. Spicy or not, there’s something for everyone. 1/F, Blissful Building, 247 Des Voeux Rd. Central, Sheung Wan, 2542-2339 Hotpot at The Drunken Pot

Come Come Chongqing Chicken Pot

at Bindaas

Come Come Chongqing Chicken Pot’s name may sound funny—it’s a direct translation of its Chinese name—but its spicy chicken pot is no joke. As one of the original chicken hotpot eateries that started the trend in Hong Kong, it has branches from Causeway Bay to Yuen Long. Diners can choose between a half or full portion of chicken, then they have the choice to add their favorite hotpot ingredients into the dish. And if you’re into unusual hotpot offerings, you can even try ostrich meat—only available at the Tai Wai branch. Various locations including 11/F, Kyoto Plaza, 491-499 Lockhart Rd., Causeway Bay, 2891-9017

The Drunken Pot Newly opened in Tsim Sha Tsui is The Drunken Pot, a hotpot resto that takes on a chic new approach to the age-old Chinese magic of communal feasting. In the hip, youthful surrounds, you’ll

Tou Yuen Delicacies (桃源美食) If you’re a hotpot purist looking to spice it up, head over to Shek Tong Tsui Cooked Food Centre for a Sichuan feast at Tou Yuen Delicacies. The self-taught chef here won’t go easy on your taste buds and cut down on the fiery red chilis, so have a tall glass of soy milk (or we prefer ice-cold Tsingtao) ready by your side to cool down. Make sure to go in a big group and order a whole chili-oil fish brimming with spices and your choice of extra toppings. 3/F, Shek Tong Tsui Market, 470 Queen’s Rd. West, Shek Tong Tsui, 2540-0398

Spicy Andong If you’re looking for spicy food, you can’t go wrong with Spicy Andong, which serves exactly what it says on the tin. With two branches in Causeway Bay and Mong Kok, you’ll get trendy Korean eats along with the star of the show: Andong chicken, a type of stew made with chicken and vegetables and often glass noodles in a soy sauce based sauce. The half-chicken portion is enough to fill two to three people. Luckily, it comes in several levels but we’re warning you, even the “small spicy” option is bound to lift you off your feet. Various locations including 7/F, Kyoto Plaza, 491-499 Lockhart Road, Causeway Bay, 2328-8917

Yau Sum Private Kitchen An upscale spin-off of the ubiquitous Yunnan-style “Sadness Sour Spicy Noodles” (because it’s so spicy you’ll be crying) shops around town, Yau Sum Private Kitchen is a perfect place to rest your feet after shopping in Causeway Bay. The restaurant serves reasonably priced Sichuan which are a step up above your average noodle bowls. Go for the fried prawns with Chongqing chilies to tickle your tastebuds, which come buried in a mountain of the dried red goodness. Bring tissues, you’ll need ‘em! 10/F, Jardine Center, 50 Jardine’s Bazaar, Causeway Bay, 2567-9808

Conveniently located on Wellington Street, Sichuan House is a popular go-to for Centralites especially during lunch hour. Classily decorated, the restaurant serves spicy Chengdu specialties. Get introduced to Ethiopian flavors by Eat Ethio

Take Five: Eclectic Cuisines Eat Ethio Aiming to introduce Ethiopian to Hong Kong, founder and cook Helina Tesega of Eat Ethio does not have a permanent restaurant, but only bounces from pop-ups to supper clubs around town. Look out for Ethiopian signatures such as the wot: a thick, hearty stew which usually comes with injera— a sourdough flatbread made from the teff grain. For religious reasons, many Ethiopians fast for weeks at a time and lean on vegan-friendly foods, so you’ll find lots of lentils, legumes and collard greens. The main seasoning? Berbere, a chili-pepper spice blend made up of 10 ingredients. Round off the meal with a freshly roasted coffee, served part of a ceremony. Eatethio.com

Ba Yi Restaurant This modest Xinjiang eatery near the University of Hong Kong is popular with students and locals alike during lunch. Though struggling a little after appearing in the Michelin guide, we’re thankful that Ba Yi Restaurant is still up and running today. Be sure to come in a large group of lamb eaters—this is no place for vegetarians—and order the set menu to have a taste of everything from roasted lamb leg, minced lamb in a stew, lamb dumplings and more. Finish off with yoghurt drinks and you’re guaranteed to leave with happy tummies. G/F, 43 Water St., Sai Ying Pun, 2484-9981

The Stoep We so wish it was summer time right now, but you can still hit the beaches and enjoy South African cuisine in Sai Kung. The Stoep is located on a beautiful stretch of white sand and offers all day dining during the weekends. It’s definitely a different experience with the barbecue food warming you up on a breezy day rather than adding to your

sweat in Hong Kong’s summer humidity. Start your meal off with homemade bread, served with a variety of exotic dips, then dive into the grilled meat platters and enjoy the sunset while you’re at it. 32 Lower Cheung Sha Village, Lantau Island, 2980-2699

Wheatfield Kitchen Keep a lookout for this Russian restaurant on the second floor of Hotel Pennington if you don’t want any of the typical East Asian fare found in Causeway Bay. Nestled in a simple and cozy environment, Wheatfield Kitchen offers classics such as borscht (not the Hong Kong-style red soup, may we add) and shashlik skewers. Be sure to drop by if you’re on the prowl for hearty stews and smoked meat. 2/F, Hotel Pennington, 13-15 Pennington St., Causeway Bay, 3422-8803

El Mercado Embodying Peru’s culinary tradition of being a brew of Asian and South American influences, Hong Kong’s first Nikkei (Peruvian Japanese) concept El Mercado opened in 2015. Founder Bart Szyniec explains that the fusion of flavors is exactly what you’d find in most popular eateries in Peru. The menu is small but certainly intriguing, consisting heavily of items such as ceviches and almost Cantonese-style stews, plus an innovative nigiri sushi section. El Mercado is currently offering a 500-calorie menu ($298), perfect for those who are still going strong on their new year’s resolutions. 21/F, 239 Hennessy Rd., Wan Chai, 2388-8009

This weekly program inspires children and teens to explore the built environment around us, and teach kids about existing and ancient structures and buildings, while integrating knowledge from math, science and art. 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (USA) Michael Bay is back with yet more explosions. Based on the novel “13 Hours” by Mitchell Zuckoff, the film adaptation tells the story of how six CIA security agents defended the American diplomatic compound during the September 11, 2012 attack in Benghazi, Libya. Starring John Krasinski and his 5,000 new muscles. Opens Feb 18.

Carol (USA) Set in the 1950s, rich suburban housewife Carol Aird (Cate Blanchett), who’s in the middle of a divorce, and department store clerk Therese Belivet (Rooney Mara) are drawn to each other and soon develop a secret relationship—risking Carol’s custody battle for her daughter. Creed

Deadpool

(USA) The ultimate tale of overcoming death for love, heartthrob Ryan Reynolds is Wade Wilson, hired assassin with healing powers and a chip on his shoulder. Marvel’s most twisted anti-hero is finally here on the big screen in time for V-day. Bring your date! Opened Feb 9.

How to Be Single

Carol

How to Be Single (USA) Ah, the token anti-Valentine’s release. Singles everywhere can rejoice in validation of their solo girl lives as Rebel Wilson teaches Dakota Johnson how to debauch it up in New York City. Funnily, of course. Opens Feb 18.

Spotlight (USA) Based on the Pulitzer-prizewinning investigation in 2001 led by Spotlight, a team of journalists at The Boston Globe dug deep into the case against John Geoghan, a Roman Catholic priest who was accused of molesting over 80 children—and was only revealed to be the tip of the iceberg. Stars Mark Ruffalo and Rachel McAdams, who both got Oscar nominations for their roles out of the six the film received. Opens Feb 18.

The Danish Girl (USA) One of two queer titles to be showered with nominations at the

Zoolander 2

Oscars this year, Eddie Redmayne is at it again with another transformative performance. Redmayne plays Einar Wegener, husband of Danish artist Gerda Wegener (Alicia Vikander) in 1926, who embraces his longsuppressed femininity and eventually attempts one of the first male to female sex reassignment surgeries, with Gerda’s support. Opens Feb 25.

The Hateful Eight (USA) Tarantino’s eighth film looks to be bloodier than ever. In post-Civil War Wyoming, a bounty hunter named “The Hangman” (Kurt Russell) is transporting his high-reward prisoner (Jennifer Jason Leigh) towards the town of Red Rock

for trial, when he meets fellow bounty hunter (Samuel L. Jackson) along the way. Stuck in a blizzard, they find themselves shacked up at a stagecoach pit stop with a group of strangers with more poisonous intent than they first let on. Opens Feb 18.

Take Five: Netflix Shows to Binge-watch Telly time with the family Jessica Jones

Fantastic Mr. Fox

Hardcore thriller lovers and Marvel geeks alike can get down to “Jessica Jones,” which brings the Marvel Comics character to Netflix, heavily praised for its approach to deeper topics such as sexuality, rape, assault and mental disorders. The anti-heroine, Jessica Jones, was a former superhero diagnosed with PTSD and the series begins when she retires from her former role to set up a detective agency. The plot will leave you hungry for more as you follow the flawed main character in a darkly sexy world.

Based on Roald Dahl’s famous novel of the same name, Wes Anderson brings his signature kooky storytelling in this fun stop-motion animation, with the plot following a fox who steals from three wealthy and mean farmers, who eventually tries to kill the fox. This adult- and kidfriendly animation is a great way to spend a chill Sunday evening.

Living on One Dollar This American documentary film follows four young college friends who experiment with living off less than one US dollar a day in rural Guatemala for eight weeks. They battle illness, parasites and hunger throughout the journey and realize that things do not come by easily. It’s not only entertaining to see how the four solve each problem, but also a meaningful show to enjoy with the family with a powerful reminder to all to be grateful for what you have no matter where you are in life.

Chef’s Table This Netflix-exclusive documentary series features a renowned chef from all over the world in each episode. It is filled with shots of beautiful mouthwatering food, stories of chefs and how they come up with their ingenious recipes. A great show to put on in the background while you’re multi-tasking, but be warned: You’re going to get very, very hungry.

Twinsters Released in 2015, you may have heard of “Twinsters,” a documentary following identical twin sisters in the UK and USA who discovered each other through Youtube, met and confirmed their identity through a DNA test, illustrating just how powerful social media can be. Like “The Parent Trap” but in real life! Plans starting $63/month, netflix.com

HIDDEN GEMS

TIPPING POINT

Looking for a brand new hobby? Head to Selling Point Glass Workshop, which serves as a nice quiet pit stop during a Lamma Island day trip. Great for some quality time between friends and family, it’s also a chance to hone your creativity— and find out who should have pursued a career in art and who was smart enough to let it go as a kid! At the workshop, you can opt in on classes to create your very own glass jewelry, stained glass, picture frames, bowls, or even learn to blow your own patterned glass (classes from $450 per person).
