Even when he took a beating, says Templeton, ‘I never was depressed or despairing.’”¹¹ Templeton called tithing the “single best investment” anyone can make.¹² He said, “Tithing always gives the greatest return on your investment.”¹³ He was committed to this principle in his own life, but he also advocated it in the lives of others as an essential ingredient for a happy and successful life. “I have observed 100,000 families over my years of investment counseling.
