LOVE, HOPE, & ART

One of the most important skills in building community is knowing how to cultivate healthy partnerships. As we move forward, through the next phase of Gateway CDC's development, we look to honor partners that have shown dedication to our community, and create new ones that aid us in reaching new heights. The creativity, technology and financial resources from partners within the Gateway community, the county, the state and beyond, are necessary to achieve the goals that the we strive to accomplish. These partnerships are key to our growth and sustainability long-term. Whether a collective, co-op, or program partner, each of us has a role to play. Through:

-commitment

-transparency and honest communication

-built in win/wins (everyone succeeds, grows and benefits)

-respect for each partners unique gifts, style and resources

-defined, clear expectations and

-productive conflict resolution

we can build toward a common vision. Take a look inside this issue of the Lab Magazine to see how we are actively growing our partnerships. We hope to have your support as we not only expand on Lab programing, but support our towns, artists and anyone looking to make a home in the Gateway Arts District.

Sincerely, Anthony Lee, President Gateway Community Development Corporation
