his couple is all about family and the outdoors, so it made sense that when Darren Woodson (45 and an ESPN analyst and former Dallas Cowboy) proposed to Tiffany Axner (27 and an interior designer with 5G Studio Collaborative), it was while hiking in Tiffany’s northern California hometown with her family. When it came time to plan their wedding, the pair chose the über-romantic Marie Gabrielle Restaurant and Gardens in uptown Dallas. Family was front and center: Darren’s youngest son escorted Tiffany’s mom down the aisle, and she followed with her dad. The bride’s Italian heritage was also tied into the reception, with delicate lights illuminating the outdoor seating area “like something you might find in Italy,” Tiffany says. A dusty rose, cream, champagne, coral and blush color palette was finished with pops of metallics, because the bride “loves a little glamour.” —ALE

rustic frame of vines, branches and blooms. “It was designed to blend into the already stunning setting and canopy of trees overhead,” Tiffany says. the reception Guests washed down upscale comfort food with “The Woody” signature cocktail—a Maker’s Mark Old Fashioned, renamed after the groom’s NFL nickname. the attire The couple wore custom designs, with the bride in a fitted, embellished gown and the groom in a light gray suit accented with a white tie and pocket square. The two flower girls (both nieces of the bride) played their roles picture-perfectly in white tiered dresses, ballerina buns and flowers in their hair that matched the bridesmaids.
