The Sumter Family YMCA 11- 12-year-old All-Star team won the 3rd Annual Jerry Coffey Invitational Tournament in Newberry on Saturday. Members of the team are Caleb Jenkins, Jaden Sanders, John Osteen, Braden Tinch, Tyrell Counts, Xavier Johnson, Ravon Harris, Rylan Dix, Michael Osborne and Jabaar Carmack II. Coaches are Ivan Sanders and Jabaar Carmack. Caleb Jenkins was named most valuable player.

OBITUARIES JOHN H. MCJUNKIN John Henry McJunkin, 82, beloved husband of Ann McJunkin, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017, at home. Services will be announced by Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium.
CHARLES. W. TROUBLEFIELD Charles W. Troublefield Sr., 67, husband of Harriett Maxcy Troublefield, died on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at Palmetto Health Tuomey. Born July 28, 1949, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Emmett and Oleta Bell Troublefield. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where he served as head usher and deacon. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He retired from Bellsouth after 32 years
of service and AT&T after 6 years. Charles was an avid outdoors-man and loved to hunt and fish with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 47 years; two sons, Charles W. “Chuck” Troublefield Jr. (Tiffany) and Brad Aaron Troublefield (Karen), all of Rembert; six grandchildren, Shelby Troublefield, Bailey Troublefield, Charles William Troublefield III, Reagan Troublefield, Matthew Troublefield, and Matthew Troy “T.J.” Troublefield Jr.; two sisters, Carolyn T. Hatfield (John) and Arlene T. McCormack (Jerry), all of Dalzell; and two sistersin-law, Mary Bradley and Ann Frye, both of Rembert. He was preceded in death by a son, Matthew “Troy” Troublefield; two brothers, Cornelius Troublefield and Bobby L. Troublefield; and a

CHRISTOPHER A. BAILEY Christopher Allen Bailey, 67, son of the late Charles and Viola Brown Bailey, departed this life on Saturday evening, March 11, 2017, at Palmetto Health Tuomey in Sumter. Christopher Allen Bailey accepted Christ as his savior at St. James Bethel Church where he served as a faithful member for many years.
