At Galveston’s Own Farmers Market This Month:

A Special Holiday Market

Every Thursday 3-6pm and Sunday 9am-1pm, Galveston’s Own Farmers Market is held at The Bryan Museum Gardens, located at 1315 21st St. Come to the beautiful Conservatory and botanical gardens to relax and enjoy time and conversation with friends, family, and museum staff. It is always free to browse and most events are free to participate. December 15th (9am-1pm), A Holiday Market will be held. Come out and celebrate the season of giving and shopping with local vendors, farmers, and live music. Be sure to bring the whole family and the fur babies to take photos with Galveston Island Humane Society’s Santa Paws! Donations are appreciated. GIHS will also have 2020 Galveston Heroes & Hounds calendars available for purchase. All proceeds will benefit their mission. You can also make holiday crafts with friends from the Galveston Arts Center while learning more about their art programs for adults and kids. Taste the Market will be held featuring seasonal vegetables and items from vendors with Seventh Day Adventist. After the market, GOFM invites everyone to enjoy The Bryan Museum - Galveston’s Holiday Delight: A Lone Star Christmas fun, complete with cowboy campfire, festive holiday elf hunt, holiday goodies, and more! This special holiday market will be fun for all ages. It is free to attend. As always, at every market, there is live music, a chance to learn more about The Bryan Museum, recycling drop offs with Keepin’ It Green, family-friendly activities sponsored by partners like Rosenberg Library, Galveston Island State Park, Galveston Island Humane Society, the “BYOC” - bring your own cup program, and more. Other fun events most Thursdays are the Bryan Museum’s “Wine at the Bryan,” held where you can discover the history and beauty of the museum. Every Sunday at 10am, Yoga Classes are led by local yoga teachers. All classes are free to attend. Every Third Thursday, 3-6pm, the fun Thirsty Thursdays is held wherein Galveston Island Brewing donates beers first-come, first-serve to market customers.

A Family Fun Christmas Party & More

Galveston Island Brewery (GIB) is a local brewery featuring an on-site taproom showcasing classic beer styles from around the world. December 14th (3-5pm), GIB will host it’s Annual Family Christmas Party with Santa at the Brewery. KOOPS BBQ Food Trailer & Catering will be on site. Santa will be available to take pictures in the brewhouse bring a camera and have some holiday fun! Snap a picture of the kids, 4 legged kiddos or capture the perfect beer drinker pic of you with Santa. Santa will be checking off his list of who has been naughty and who has been nice. A free holiday glass will be given to the first 50 customers to get their picture with Santa. There will be special brews and as always, this promises to be a fun family event with a playground for the kids and ice-cold beverages for the adults.
