SIBLINGS, COFOUNDERS & FRIENDS
[JAM] I think it's interesting for us because we were always very close. But the definition of close for us, I think, has evolved over time We always did stuff together We'd play together We'd play music and sports together, we did so much But I think when I went away, especially to college, I really dove into my campus life because of that community aspect we were talking about before. I was less in contact with Philly.
What really did it, I think, was the pandemic At that point, I was a junior in college and Philly was a senior in high school In 2020, we had so much time to just really have conversations we hadn't had before, sharing some of the difficult moments growing up and just really connecting.

We were already friends, but we almost leveled up. It went to a different, more emotional state, during the pandemic
[Philly] Once we started sharing, we realized how many similarities there were, and it was a different type of communication that was fostered We talked about our identity, and that's when I started going into, “yeah, we don't even see our identity anywhere, not just in our community, but in the country We don't really see that too much on the screen ” I think all those conversations built on each other So, when it came time, and we had the unique opportunity to launch Outer Voice Records, we knew exactly what we wanted to do with that opportunity
