THE KITCHEN IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST OFFENDERS IN THE HOME WHEN IT COMES TO COLLECTING EXCESS MOISTURE AND STEAM. Excess humidity can lead to mold, mildew, indoor air pollutants and discomfort in the home. Mold exposure can cause congestion, throat irritation, coughing and other respiratory issues such as asthma and allergies. One of the best ways to remove unwanted impurities from the kitchen is to purchase a range hood. A range hood is a great way to remove excess steam, heat, carbon monoxide and other pollutants that cooking can release into the air. When using this product it is recommended to turn on 15 minutes before and after cooking. This will help to capture any moisture that may be lingering before and after food preparation. It is also important to clean your grease and charcoal filters. Metal grease filters should be cleaned every two months or more frequently with heavy use. You should place your filters in a hot detergent solution or wash in the dishwasher. Abrasives and scouring agents can scratch the stainless steel finish and should not be used to clean a finished surface. Please remove all water or any other liquid before re-installing the filters. Faber also has two different types of charcoal filters that need to be cleaned or maintained if you are recirculating. The first option is the FILTER1. The FILTER1 is non washable option that cannot be regenerated. This filter should be replaced every 4 months or more frequently with heavy use. The second type of charcoal filter is the FILTER1LL. LAUNDRY STAIN REMOVAL 101 GR ASS: These stains contain a pigment that sticks to clothing fibres. The secret is to act fast, soaking the stain in cold water as soon as possible. Once the garment is really soaked with water, use a cleaning agent like white vinegar or rubbing alcohol to treat the stain. RED WINE: With a wine stain, it’s all about the dab - rubbing the stain can set it further. Dabbing complete, apply salt liberally to the stained area, let it dry and then wash with cold water and a mix of detergent and baking soda.

LIPSTICK: Kiss away lipstick stains by pretreating with a solvent-based stain removal product (or a bit of liquid detergent). Allow the stain remover to work for at least 15 minutes and then wash the garment in the hottest water possible for the fabric – be sure to read the care label. SAUCES: Can’t eat pasta without spilling tomato sauce on your top? Simply apply dish detergent to the stain and rub with an ice cube.
Once the stain has faded, blot it with a clean cloth soaked with vinegar and wash as usual. OIL AND GREASE: Start by covering the stain in baby powder or cornstarch as quickly as possible – the powder will soak up much of the grease or oil. After about 30 minutes, dust off any excess powder and give the garment a wash on the hottest watersetting possible for the fabric.
