PARTNERING WITH THE CENTER FOR CITIZENSHIP AND JUST DEMOCRACY Our College Counseling Office intentionally connects with
programs across the entirety of our campus, yet no example illustrates this more than the work done with our Citizenship and Just Democracy (CJD) curriculum. Through this four-year program, our College Counselors meet with 9th grade students soon after they arrive on campus to begin a conversation about how a Gunn transcript is presented to colleges, and to establish the foundation that will promote an intentional set of experiences at Gunn. Partnering with CJD is a continuous process that intentionally drives moments of self reflection, helps a student identify personal values that are put into action, and ultimately helps build a narrative that will set a student apart in the college application process.
