RAIN BIRD
IQ4-Cloud RAIN BIRD’S IQ Platform has, for many years, provided a management solution for anyone with responsibility for the irrigation of sports stadia, training grounds and other amenities. With the IQ4-Cloud, the platform has been redesigned to become more versatile, user-friendly and secure. It is also free of charge for anyone who has already invested in compatible Rain Bird controllers and connected devices. IQ4-Cloud is designed for use with Rain Bird’s ESP-LX Series controllers or the ESP-LX IVM range. It offers control over irrigation through any internet connected smartphone, tablet or desktop PC. New features, including streamlined navigation, allow fast programming of controllers. For controllers equipped with flow sensors, minute-by-minute flow logs and graphical reports show actual versus projected flow rates. IQ4 can automatically create and share detailed analyses of irrigation times, total water usage and other key data. Text notifications on mobile phones are now available to quickly identify and manage operational queries in the field. For high security, its operation is now permission based, with tiered user access. The IQ4-Cloud package has the facility to add an unlimited number of sites, users and controllers. Redexim Speed-Seed AS WELL AS a new look, the Speed-Seed is now available in four width options – 1.1m, 1.5m, 2m and 2.3m. It uses a spiked sarel roller to create 990 holes per square metre, and has a rear brush which then sweeps the seeds into the holes down to depths of 20mm. A key new feature is its remodelled variable speed rate calibration system. The metering sections make ratio adjustments simple and accurate, while a new mixing bar and individual seeding elements ensure good, even distribution and less wastage – even when sowing small bent grass seed. The seed system is fed by a tray with a maximum capacity of up to 337l (in the 2.3m width variant), and all four of the models offer a seeding speed of 7.5mph. www.charterhouse-tm.co.uk
