The Glass Racking Company provides a range of storage systems to assist factories to conserve valuable floor space while allowing quick, easy and safe access to bulk glass storage. Traditional A-frame storage systems provide a cheap form of easy access storage but are very inefficient in storage of glass. As there becomes a wider variety of glass types and sizes required to be stored within factories, and factory floor space becomes more valuable, The Glass Racking Company storage solutions become increasingly cost justified. The Glass Racking Company provides Concertina and Swing racks. Concertina racks provide for bulk storage of glass on leaning bays which are mounted on a fixed steel structure. Users “wind” the bays to open spaces for access to the glass. The space savings come from the rack allowing easy access to the different glass types in storage without having simultaneous access to all glass items. Additionally because the bays all lean the same way (unlike A-frames) the floor space required is halved.

Swing racks use pivoting leaves to hold the glass. In much the same way as the Concertina racks, Swing racks have all the glass leaning the same way. Leaves are manually swung to create an opening to access a particular store of glass. When compared to A-frames, the space required is around half. Most users find both Concertina and Swing racks provide easier and quicker access to the glass than traditional A-frames.

Concertina racks are typically used for bulk storage of stock sheets (such as 3140x1840, 3660x2440 and 5200x3160), while Swing racks are typically used for job lots such as those loaded off a DGU line, in a window fabrication factory, or glazing business. The Glass Racking Company also manufactures crane loader L-frame racks, toaster racks, obscure racks, and general storage systems.
