9 Turkey Chase For nearly 30 years, the BethesdaChevy Chase Branch of the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington has staged this 10K race Thanksgiving morning. http://www.turkeychase.com/ Garden of Lights at Brookside Gardens Nov. 29, 2013 to Jan. 5, 2014. The event is closed on Dec. 24. and Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 and Jan. 2 Hours are: Sunday through Thursday 5:30 to 9 p.m. and Friday through Saturday 5:30 to 10 p.m. The venue is open New Year’s Eve until 9 p.m. The last car is admitted 30 minutes before closing each night of the show. The annual train exhibit is open during the light show and also Sat. Dec. 7 to Sun.
