Escort West - 1959 - Victor Mature - DVD

The dashing, intense actor Victor Mature (so compelling in the famed film noir KISS OF DEATH) dons a cowboy hat and an outlaw persona in this fine Western flick. Mature plays Ben Lassiter, a former officer in the Confederate Army of the Civil War. As he travels westward with his adorable daughter, Lassiter comes upon two distraught women who have just survived a violent assault by Native Americans.

As he attempts to guide them safely to their ultimate destinations, more trouble ensues, and the run-ins with Indian tribes build to a chaotic massacre.

Larry And Vivien - The Oliviers A fascinating trawl through the torrid relationship of Britain's thespian king and queen. Both married to other people when they met, Leigh instantly made a beeline for Olivier, lobbying a studio to cast them in the same film. But after more than 20 happy years together, Viv went peculiar and reportedly took on many of the traits of her Oscar-winning role, Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire - including making sexual advances on any man who wasn't nailed down. In a move worthy of Henry VIII, Larry got fed up and chucked her, moving on to wife number three before the divorce came through. The sad tale of a highly ambitious couple who gave some of the greatest performances ever committed to celluloid.
