Lately, I made some keychains for a musician: I used his album cover to make them. It's always awesome to offer someone something unique. WHAT IS YOUR DESIGN PROCESS? Usually, the ideas come into my mind. I buy charms I like, and then my imagination does the rest. In the case of resin pieces, I think about colour mixtures and materials to make original pieces; in this case, I make some drawings of the items I would like to make. I start by creating sketches of my designs in a notebook. Once I am satisfied with my new styles, I start by mixing the colors of clay I need. I repeat the whole process in my head over and over again and try to anticipate where there might be difficulties. Then, when I really start to make it, it goes pretty fast.

The creative juices start flowing, that becomes an idea, and then I start translating that into a design...whether it be a bag or a potted plant or a card. That is the general process I follow, although there are more detailed design processes for the different mediums I work with.
