"I discovered what I thought would be a niche market for fun flying pigs and decided that even though my first shop was very eclectic, it would make sense to split off the flying pigs into their own shop. I later added items that spoke to the math, science, music and mythology geek in me."
How did you come up with the name for your Etsy shop? "The phrase "when pigs fly" indicates that one doubts something will happen. Since I started my store focused on flying pigs, "Eclectic Skeptic" seemed to fit.”
What is your favorite holiday treat? "My favorite holiday treat is peppermint bark candy without chocolate."

Then the magic happens to those images while seated at my computer in my home. I then print out many of my products on one of my two printers.”

Why did you start your Etsy shop? "Etsy celebrates makers and I wanted to be part of that community. The creativity expressed in hand made goods is in turn appreciated by Etsy customers seeking one of a kind items."
What’s your favorite medium to work with? "Textiles of all sorts. I love to repurpose and re-imagine textiles of all sorts."

What’s your favorite part of being an Etsy seller? "My favorite part of being an Etsy seller is simply having a platform that is for handmade items, crafts and products. I love the ease of use when it comes to shipping as well"
Favorite holiday tradition? "My favorite holiday tradition is Thanksgiving. It seems it’s the only time of year when I can get so many of my family members gathered in one place. It is better than family reunions in my opinion.”

What’s your favorite part of being an Etsy seller? "My favorite part is when a buyer gets excited about something I have to offer. One of my first sales was a kyanite bracelet, and the buyer was over-the-moon excited as she had been looking for a bracelet using that stone for ages!”
What is your favorite holiday treat? "Cut out cookies. When I was growing up, my Mom made batches of anise-flavored cut out cookies every year. The kids were allowed to decorate some, and Mom did some decent ones for company. My husband is not an anise fan, so I do plain sugar cookies. Some years I get all fancy with the icing, and some years it's Celtic Pendant of Sterling Silver & Labradorite
