On March 25, Osler hosted the awards ceremony for its first national student app contest, “Kiss My App”, where Atinderpal Singh Multani was named the winner of a $10,000 grand prize and unveiled his winning app. The app’s approach to wayfinding and diagnostic imaging prep will help to provide better, more personalized service for patients and families. Kiss My App is one of the first contests of its kind in Canada. Osler launched the contest last fall and challenged undergraduate students to come up

When my daughter’s education was interrupted by a serious illness, she received exemplary care at Etobicoke General. And she should know. She’s a family physician. Her return to health is the greatest gift we could ever receive. That’s why I’m raising money for Etobicoke General.
As a first-time mom with premature twins, I was so scared. My anxieties soon disappeared after my baby girls were transferred here because we were treated like family. When Valentina experienced heart problems, I was as well supported and cared for as my babies. Thank you to all of the staff and physicians who helped get us home. Thank you to the donors who helped equip the special care nursery at Etobicoke General. You’ve changed our lives.

It is also home to over 750 physicians and 1,100 volunteers. Etobicoke General is a First Responder for the international population from Toronto Pearson International Airport, providing crisis care and outbreak management.
Raising Funds & Friends It seems that wherever we go around town these days, we can grab a lemonade, get our car washed and buy a raffle ticket – all in support of community causes. Causes like the redevelopment of Etobicoke General. Etobicoke General Built more than 40 years ago, Etobicoke General is undergoing significant revitalization to support a new fourstorey wing. At the same time, fundraising continues to update diagnostic equipment and technology to meet the community’s urgent and growing needs. Getting Involved Once again, our community has stepped up to raise funds for Osler. On the back cover you will find a listing of fundraising events for Etobicoke General this year. We hope that you are able to attend – and even bring a few friends! Your support will go a long way in helping us to raise much-needed funds to redevelop Etobicoke General.
