CHS Lady Dogs Bring Home AAA State Championship

On Friday, March 3rd, the CHS Girls Varsity Basketball team was in USC Aiken to take on the Hurricanes of Wren for the AAA State Cham pionship game. The Lady Dogs defeated the Hurricanes 61-45 to become the AAA STATE CHAMPIONS!! This is the 2nd title in school history for the girls basketball program, previously winning the title in 1982 as a AAAA school.

Top scorer was Joyce Edwards with 33 points, Tateyoina Harris had 8, Morgan Champion with 7, Deanna Jeffcoat had 6, Braylin Mungo with 4, & Zyasya Carter with 3.

Mardi Gras at Stover Middle

This year's Mardi Gras parade at Stover included 8th Art classes and their masks, 6th grade robotics class with their floats, 7th grade Theatre classes with their clown characters and music provided by the combined band classes. Each homeroom made Krewe Banners to display during the parade. Many classes took time to make masks and/or crowns to wear during the parade. 7th Grade ELA teacher, Coach Gele was our parade king and led the way!
