High school, technical school and college students are an important part of our business. Our young associates have made an excellent contribution to our company and community. We are proud to have been able to provide each of them with business experience as an extension of their education. Some of them plan to leave us and continue their education, some will embark on new careers and some will remain and grow with us. Whatever their plans, we thank them for their outstanding efforts and wish them all much success!
Earned Scholarship Program: For every year a high school associate works 650 hours per year, they may earn $250 a year up to $1,000. The earned money goes toward tuition, books, or room and board, and is payable to the school of the student’s choice. County Fair currently sponsors yearly scholarships at any accredited South Dakota school for full-time students. All associates, spouses and children of associates are eligible to apply at the store for the scholarships.
