He is also an artist often combining artistic elements into building design. Completed projects include Whittier Lofts apartments, Columpio Restaurant, renovations to the high school, multiple projects at USD and NSU, the Sherman Center at DWU, Innovative Systems and many homes on Lake Mitchell. The firm’s recent “Firesteel House” on Lake Mitchell won a design award from the South Dakota American Institute of Architects. This home is heated by the sun and has extensive use of natural daylight in the home.
