AKWABA

Welcome to The Ghana Summit On behalf of The CWC Group and our Ghanaian partners Yaw Kankam and Edward Sereboe, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all distinguished Ministers, speakers and sponsors of The Ghana Summit here in Accra. The CWC Group wishes to sincerely thank GNPC and The Ministry of Energy for endorsing this event and for the kind support of The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana. Ghana's economy has shown impressive rates of growth and has certainly been in the spotlight recently with oil discoveries and promised wealth. The world is indeed watching. Regional and international investors have shown immense interest but important questions are constantly being raised; how can they contribute directly to the people of Ghana, how can the oil curse be avoided and how can Ghana learn from the mistakes that other African countries have made in the past? This conference features over 35 Ghanaian and international speakers to debate the key issues surrounding oil, gas and developing local content initiatives in the country. We trust that you will find this event inspiring and thought provoking and we look forward to hearing your valued feedback. Yours sincerely,

Kristina Mackintosh Producer The CWC Group Ltd

Founded in 1975, PETROCI is a state-owned oil company, under the administrative control of the Cote d’Ivoire’s Ministry of Mines and Energy. PETROCI is mainly engaged in exploration, development, production and marketing of crude oil, LPG and gasoline as well as natural gas transportation and pipeline construction. PETROCI is present and also involved in all the petroleum concessions of the Cote d’Ivoire basin (33), in association with foreign oil companies for exploration, development, and production activities in the licensed blocks. The companies hold equities and are paying interest in several blocks in exploration and development as showed below:

PETROCI’s missions are to promote the Ivorian sedimentary basin and develop the petroleum and gas resources by exploiting Côte d’Ivoire’s oil and gas fields. PETROCI has several oil and gas fields such as Bélier, Espoir, Lion, Panthère, Foxtrot and Baobab. PETROCI contributes to the economic development of Côte d’Ivoire through the value chain of oil and gas in upstream (exploration, development and production) in partnership with international petroleum companies and in downstream (distribution, trading and shipping of crude oil and petroleum products). PETROCI’s ambition is to face challenges in all its activities by promoting natural resources and protecting the environment.
