PRODUCTION SECTORS - AGRICULTURE SECTORES DE PRODUCCIÓN - AGRICULTURA In Mexico, 76% of the water destined for human consumption is used in agriculture, which represents the most widely used sector and one of the main water polluters. Therefore, improving water management in agriculture is essential for a sustainable and productive agrifood sector. According to CONAGUA (National Water Commission) to produce a kilogram of corn in Mexico you need over 1,860 liters of water. corporations that bring large amounts of food from "factory farms" leaving the small producer way on the other side. Therefore, an economic imbalance is generated, leaving aside the most needy sector. There is a separation between producers and consumers. The producer (labor) carries only a minimal part of their product, with large corporations earning two or even three times the product. But the whole process is hidden, it is massively complex, and nowadays, unsustainable.

En México, el 76% del agua destinada al consumo humano se utiliza en la agricultura, lo que representa el sector más utilizado y uno de los principales contaminadores del agua. Por lo tanto, mejorar la gestión del agua en la agricultura es esencial para un sector agroalimentario sostenible y productivo.

Según la CONAGUA (Comisión nacional del agua) para producir un kilogramo de maíz en México, se necesitan 1 860 litros de agua.

Nos hemos convertimos en dependientes de grandes corporaciones de lucro que traen fuertes cantidades de alimento de “granjas industriales” dejando a un lado al pequeño productor. Existe una desvinculación entre productores y consumidores. El productor (mano de obra) se lleva apenas una mínima parte de su producto, siendo las grandes corporaciones que le ganan dos o inclusive tres veces a este producto.

Pero todo el proceso está oculto, es masivamente complejo y, en última instancia, es insostenible.

PRODUCTION SECTORS - MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY SECTORES DE PRODUCCIÓN - INDUSTRIA MANUFACTURERA Querétaro is a leader in the production of molds, dies and tooling, it has over 628 suppliers that services. Manufacturing industries contribute over 66.3% of the state's total gross production.

In this sector, the main municipalities that have reported the highest percentage of employed personnel were: Querétaro with 46.8%, San Juan del Río with 20.5% and El Marqués with 17.6%. (INEGI).

The industrial activity in Queretaro is carried out in 46 industrial parks, which contain over 1,600 companies, today, 5 industrial parks are under construction. The manufacturing activity on the city is divided in three industrial divisions: the metal-mechanical and food & textile industries, which together represent 94.0% of the city's industrial product as an average for the decade.

Being the metal mechanical industry with a total of 43.9% and food production a 40.8%, followed by the textile industry with a 9.3%.

Querétaro es líder en la producción en moldes, troqueles y herramentales, cuenta con 628 proveedores que ofertan 2,665 procesos productivos, productos o servicios. Las industrias manufactureras aportan la mayor parte de la producción bruta total del estado, 66.3%. En este sector los principales municipios que reportaron mayor porcentaje de personal ocupado fueron: Querétaro 46.8%, San Juan del Río con 20.5% y El Marqués con 17.6%.

La actividad manufacturera del estado se sustenta en tres divisiones industriales básicamente: la industria metal-mecánica, la alimenticia y la textil, las que en conjunto representaron el 94.0% del producto industrial del estado como promedio de la década, siendo la primera de ellas la más importante con una participación de 43.9%, seguida de la alimenticia con el 40.8% y en tercer sitio con una contribución bastante menor, la industria textil con el 9.3%.

Within the food industry, three branches of activity clearly stand out, two of them are linked the production of meat and dairy that contribute a total of 11.8% of the industrial product and the second is the manufacture of fodder that carries out a total of 6.4%. The industry consumes only 4% of water (3.5 km³ annually). However, the pollution it generates is due to bio-chemical waste and its demand for resources. The industrial sector competes for the use of water with other productive sectors like agriculture.

En el 2050, Querétaro es una ciudad justa que garantiza el acceso a servicios básicos y espacios públicos al 100% de su población, logrado a través de proyectos de diversas escalas que satisfacen las necesidades de la ciudad. Estos se enfocan en la habitabilidad humana y reintegración del tejido urbano-rural , así como la recuperación del medio ambiente y los recursos naturales. Toman en cuenta la necesidad de un correcto manejo y aprovechamiento del agua, logrando mantener estable la explotación de los mantos acuíferos en los últimos 30 años y la reducción del consumo del agua en los sectores productivos.

Además incrementó el área permeable y por ende, aumentó la recarga de los acuíferos y disminuyeron las áreas afectadas por inundaciones y hundimientos de terreno.
